My house is popping every few seconds in the winter, lol, and I don't know if it's normal or not. We have a furnace with ducts going around, but the sound doesn't have a metallic ring to it. I think it's wood expanding and shrinking

Yeah i heard that popping last night at around 1 am twice in less then 15 seconds

Not really and I can hear these sounds during the day as well. It could be associated with the warming and cooling of temperature at different times of the day or could be pipes in the wall. Someone suggested it could be the AC ducting. Since it happens pretty much everywhere around the house, whether the vaulted ceilings or areas where there is an attic I've heard them. In person it sounds like popping. So I'm at a loss.

Having the same sounds it's more frequent all during the day & night and ceiling too but in a single wide

It's thermal adjustment of the building mayerials. They shrink and expand, thus the popping and clanging sounds. You can google it for more information@salena2254
