Girl you must have spent some serious coin on this!! We have lived in our house for over 10 years and we've barely decorated half of it because of the cost. Congratulations on the successful reno! Everything looks fantastic and so very you! I closed in April and am about 70% done with my renovation (complete gut, just like you) and it's exhausting. It's so important to manage your expectations and get three quotes for *everything*. It's also extremely important to have a contractor you mesh with and who listens. Hoping to cross the finish line in August.

My husband and I poured our own concrete countertops 5 years ago. We love them, but concrete is a porous surface that requires maintenance. That's okay for us since DIY was so much cheaper. Granite on the other hand is basically indestructible. If you are paying that ticket price, you probably ended up with the better option.

This looks AMAZING!!! Like wow!! I know this took a long while but it was totalllllly worth it! I do have a question on the process/logistics. For the different projects you worked on, you had to get different contractors. Is this bc the contractors/contracting companies only specialize in one house related thing?

Thank you! yes! so I had a main contractor who managed his team and did a lot of the flooring, painting, heavy duty foundation stuff. then he would outsource and get specialty contractors for the tile, the countertops, electricity....stuff like that. So there were lots of different people working on different parts of the reno :)
