I think the wood she was unsure of for her chest of drawers is called Birds Eye maple. Correct me if I’m wrong. I inherited an entire bedroom suite of my grandmothers, and it has stickers on it made in 1901!! It’s pristine!!

When I saw "Rustic Ranch Home", I was not sure if I wanted to see this video. But, this lady has a beautfiul home! Mostly everything is thrifted or found and she has made everything fit in so well. Very simple but neat, clean, uncluttered and elegant. I love the warmth her home exudes.

I believe a person should decorate with what they love and makes them happy. I am always decorating with something warm and comfy. Part primitive, part traditional and a mix of antiques…lots of brass candles, copper antiques, old rustic tables, vintage perfume bottles, wooden cutting boards, and vintage fabrics to make pillow covers…such fun!

Homeworthy and Taylor ~ thank you so much for the tour of this home. I loved seeing how "a normal person" - without being a designer - decorates her home. Wow! I'm left with several impressions here. First of all, I love the overall feeling of vintage patina in the found furniture and the blue-green-brown muted colors. Taylor, you snagged that beautiful Eastlake bed in your daughter's room for $15 on FBMP? And the full size Eastlake bed in the primary room is beautiful too. It's genius to use the side rails beside the headboard to extend the frame to accommodate your king size mattress! I've often wondered what people do with the old full size beds as they really don't provide a comfortable night's sleep for 2 grown adults anymore now that people are used to a queen size or king size. I also enjoyed seeing all of the old paintings, even the damaged ones, as they provide a unique nostalgic appearance, I think, to them. And then going outside, your hydrangeas are so lovely. I also love and was amused with your idea of just throwing vegetable and flower seeds into your garden and seeing what emerges! All in all, I enjoyed the tour so much, I could have watched more if you had more rooms, lol! Thanks again for the visual delight!
