The first thing I installed was a removeable fence around the swimming pool. It provides me peace of mind having my littles ones and pets. You've done a fantastic job with your renovations.

I'm avoiding all major home renovations this year due to crazy prices and inventory issues. Just gonna do some things like washing decks, touching up paint, and focusing on the yard. And yeah, I've added a ton of can lights to my house, really brightens things up and makes the ceilings feel taller.

We are looking into buying a house, and are open to fixing some stuff up, but one fear is living in the house while we do that. How was that for y’all? Was it unbearable to live in a construction zone, or did y’all live somewhere else while doing major renos? Could y’all make a video about that, what to do while fixing up your home, how to live without a kitchen, or how not to go crazy during a renovation! Thanks!

We've lived in construction zones before and it is definitely difficult! A sacrifice for sure, but in our opinion it was completely worth the temporary discomfort! It is also motivation to get the project done faster 😂😂. We forgot to mention, but during some of this reno we lived in a small camper outside our house! 😬 It was only for about 3 weeks, but we had fun with it! 😁😁

Awesome! Good luck! The only tips I have for you are that "Sharkbite" plumbing fittings are your friend and that if you are doing tile, pay extra for your spacers and use some sort of a tile leveling system. Helps the tiles look much more professional! 😁😁

I don’t think you want a door in the bedroom when you are asleep you don’t want to worry about someone coming to the door, it makes another way to get in the house.so it’s a security source also other people woul not want a door in their bedroom, dangerous I think.

You need to have a proper exit in a basement in order to have a legal bedroom. Otherwise the danger becomes getting trapped in a fire! If someone wants to break into your house, there are plenty of ways.

Do you have any tips for qualifying for a home loan when self employed? It seems almost impossible when you need to take max deductions. Any advice on bank statement loans? The loan people I've talked to seem to have no clue how to help the self employed.

Oh man! That is definitely a tough one! We definitely had to shop around to find a bank that understood/accepted how business owners file taxes. Frustrating for sure! Our only advice would be to shop around and find a bank that is business friendly. Most likely a smaller local bank.

She had no clue we were doing it and came home to a huge surprise! Her and her husband loved it!
