I’m watching this in the dark, as we lost power during Hurricane Milton. I love seeing everyone’s beautiful homes, but as we’ve just suffered devastating damage here, and have been without power for 5 days now, I can honestly say that home is not the things in it, but the people you love.

I'm in Asheville, NC where Hurrican Helene hit. A lot of us are without water, electricity, and WIFI. Home is where you can shelter surrounded by the people you love.

35 years ago, I put a beautiful cabinet with glass shelves and doors (very similar to yours) in my bedroom and displayed black and white family photos in silver frames. It’s still one of my most favorite design choices!

Very thoughtful, tasteful new build. Rooms defined by walls and cased openings, but still very open and airy because of the natural light coming from multiple aspects. Rooms that are comfortable but not oversized. Appropriate height ceilings that don’t create cavernous feel. Decorating is so much easier when you start with such nice spaces!

Just lovely home. I thought using the large table in the kitchen area in lieu of a dining room was wonderful. Because it was placed in the area with large windows all around it was so beautiful. The large glass chandelier over the table made the area feel special. I really like her esthetic.

The bedroom is beautiful. A solution for the fan is to use one on a stand. You may need to do some engineering. It can swing over from its large base. The chandelier would look wonderful.

This is a very feminine and formal home. I like all the pretty elements, even have quite a few of them in my home. For me though, there is something missing. I think it’s the juxtaposition of the more masculine elements that I like, rough textures like brick and raw wood. And my goodness, I don’t think I saw any baskets; I adore baskets, wicker, and rattan. It’s a lovely home nonetheless. Thank you Alexis. 🪴🪴🪴

Fiddle leaf figs don’t produce eating-quality fruit (so not to worry!) they are pretty much just ornamental trees when used as houseplants.

Beautiful home. But in the UK a 50 year old house is looked on as pretty new. It would be to be bad to turn down. Wd have many 100 year old, 200 hundred year old, 300 hundred year old and even older. Wd seldom take those down. Often do major changes, but to take down would be terrible.

I don't see all that much color, just lots of pastels Not enough color pops or eclectic elements for my taste with the exception of the bar area, which I did like.
