I'd probably paint some of the bathroom tiles to lighten the room. I've no idea what is 'fashionable' these days, and think it should be about what you like, not what everbody else is doing I love the old family photos, and using your grans music sheets is a great idea! The quilt your mum made looks so lovely and cosy. Thanks for the tour. I hope Luna will be better soon 🤎

Hello Ali, I love the wildlife wallpaper in your spare room. I also buy and keep " bargain " fabric, paint and paper. For your curtain pole finials, perhaps you could sculpt some out of self- hardening clay, then paint to match your colour scheme. Gentle pat for beautiful Luna, I hope she feels better soon. Clever idea with the musical wallpaper! My local charity shop always has lots of sheet music for all sorts of musical instruments and I have had many lucky finds for the instruments I play. But using it as wallpaper is something I hadn't thought of.

Thanks for the tour. Now you have justified my terrible hoarding habits- I too have lots of wallpaper and paint from 2 previous houses, plus all sorts of 'diy' bits and fixings that part of me believes I should get rid of, and part of me believes they could come in useful in future! I have already used some of the hoarded paint and wallpaper in my relatively new house....

Thank you Ali it's all coming along nicely it take time and when your on a limited budget it takes a bit longer but when you do get something you will love it for a long time if things come to easy it seems so unappreciated and I notice disposed of as fast as it came in have a great week Luna is beautiful and such a great colour I had my first settee which was the same colour as her it was Draylon and the colour was called mink lol .xx

Believe it or not Ali, terracotta and cream are thing at the moment, alternate tiles. You could paint them and the black accent would be great I think. I've painted tiles in the past and used Frenchic paint which is fab but expensive. I also painted a bath once , it was OK but all in the preparation. How exciting for you doing up your new home. If anyone can do it on a budget it is you.
