This video introduces 10 basic exercises that beginners should learn first.
These are the seven major elements that make up House Dance steps
[Bounce/Jump/Twist/Knock/Slide/Kick/Turn]is included.
If you master it, you can easily dance difficult steps and choreography.
【Toe bounce Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Understanding rhythm and toe center of gravity.
Note: Don't raise your heels too high.
House Dance steps to use: Almost all steps.
【Knee bounce Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn how to bend your knees.
Note: Don't bend your knees too deep.
Steps used: Cross Steps, Paddbre, Skating, Jacking, Triangles, etc.
【Jumping Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn to bounce to the rhythm.
Note: Do not bounce high.
House Dance steps to use: Shuffle, Chase, Peter Paul, Pow Wow, Around the World, etc.
【Toe twist Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn how to turn the toe.
Note: Do not lean your body forward.
House Dance steps to use: Swirl, Twist Walk, etc.
【Heel twist Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn how to turn the heel.
Note: Do not lean your body back.
House Dance steps to use: Salsa hop, Pivot, Stomping, etc.
【Freeze Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Use toes and heels properly.
Note: Turn your feet at the same angle.
House Dance steps to use: All the steps of the Pivot series.
【knock Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn to feel the rhythm on the toes.
Note: Softly touch the tip of the toe to the floor.
House Dance steps to use: Chase, Shuffle, Toe Shuffle, Cross Step, Salsa step (twist), etc.
【Slide Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn slides.
Note: Do not put your weight on the sliding foot.
House Dance steps to use: Slide,Skating, etc.
【Snap kick Tutorial for Beginners】
Purpose: Learn to kick fast.
Note: Your knees don't rise when you kick.

Freestyle and house came natural to me in the 80s. Watched, went home and practiced. Back to the club. Learned about building a foundation when I studied modern dance, some Latin ballroom and then tap. Helped my house and freestyle immensely. Now I find tutorials on house so I can continue the journey.

I really like how the video not only shows you the movement but also shows you how it can be used in relation to the music. I've actually never seen a video showing multiple moves do that, usually it's someone dancing to a song, but with this one you can tell it's intentional. So it gives me more of a baseline for building musicality with your footwork

Thank you Banri. Never knew house dance before. I kinda use it for my walk workout at home. This is the move that fit for me, newbie. Toe & knee bounce, toe & heel twist, freeze-me:slower, knock-slower, slide-slower, jack in the box-slower, stomping&jack-slower, hoping-low, snap kick, side to side(no jumping, on toe), side to side double&mix, twist, stomping, jacking standart, jacking open&close, jacking walk, jacking drop.
