You always have the most informative videos without being condescending. This clearly showed a solution to an issue that DJs face, and you showed what you were running through it, as well as how much time you had left given what you were running. Thanks for another great video. I really wish more people got to see your content, I’ve been in heaven with your Heavy Hits DJ pool suggestion, and you prepared me for the lack of being able to do full playlist downloads.

Like the set up one question can you make a video on how you connect the crown amps to the controller and to speakers,I have the pioneer flx10 with 2 15 inch EVs and a 12 inch EV sub with the yamaha mg12xu how can I connect a crown amp to my set up
@Housemix10
@Housemix10 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. First thing to confirm. Your speakers are passive, that is the only way you should use a amplifier. If you want to use a FLX10, MG12XU, and EV Tops and Subs you can do the following again as long as your speakers are passive and not powered. Connect the Output of your FLX10 to one of the channels of the MG12XU. Connect the output of your MG12XU to the Input on your amplifier. Connect the output of your Amplifier to your speakers.

@@jdavis8460 I would say I was up and down. There were some parts, for example the first hour and a half where I was loud. Not red lining but the occasional yellow. Then there were parts where the guests were sitting and eating in front of me so the music was low enough to be heard but they could still speak. That was probably about 45 to 50 min. The rest I would say I was loud enough to be heard but not felt. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. I can tell you about two events I have done with it. The first was a Race at a large field. I used the same amount of speakers from this video, I used a XDJ RX2 instead of CDJ's. I would say the volume was much louder for a longer period of time that the 4 hours from this video and the Jackery lasted about 2.5 hours before it was needing to recharge. Another event, I rented it out to a friend who was DJ'ing on a float in a parade. 3 hr event, he used 2 QSC K12.2, controller and Laptop. No issues, the Jackery lasted the 3 HRs and still had about 20% left.

Hey man, I got an XDJ XZ and a JVC Large speaker that runs on Battery. If I connect my Speaker to my XDJ XZ, then my XDJ XZ to a generator, will the Generator need the wattage power to cover the Speaker? Even though the speaker runs on battery? Because its connected to my XDJ XZ? Or If I just get a smaller generator just for the XDJ XZ and use this method, will be okay? Help please someone. I want to film myself in the desert DJing.

Do you think a Jackery 880 can handle 2 QSC 12.2 speakers, 1 laptop, and a DDJ 1000 board? I believe the 880 is about half the size capacity of what you have but you have way more items attached to it.
@Housemix10
@Housemix10 Жыл бұрын
Yes I think you should be good. The main issue you would need to watch is the draw you put on the unit by raising the volume. That is what will get you and kill the charge on the Jackery.

@@Housemix10 I was going to get the Jackery and was looking forward to their product but after doing some research I decided on the EcoFlow Delta 2. I learned that it has a 3 times longer battery life than the Jackery, has an app, and the battery engineering is more advanced.

I’m confused. I’m not an electrician. Let’s say a jacket outputs 2000w. My speakers are 2000 watts each. 4 speakers. Wouldn’t I need 8000w to run just that?
@Housemix10
@Housemix10 8 ай бұрын
I am not a Electrician either but I do know that the wattage that your amp pushes to the speakers is not the same as what it consumes from the power current. Basically Wattage = Amps X Volts. You can look at the power section of your amp to determine the Amperage that it consumes, power draw. Volts should be there also. That is why I like this unit so much. The display actually shows you the wattage being pulled by what is plugged in.

@@DartsandHipHop It is really not that simple. I have used the same exact equipment used in this video and played soft to moderately loud music and I was able to get 4 hours easily out of the Jackery. Another time I used the same equipment and played very loud music and I was only able to get 2 hours out of the Jackery. That is because the Amplifiers will draw more power as the music gets louder. Does this make sense to you?

Very nice video and info, thx. One thing though - I think it's a big mistake to bring that expensive Pioneer equipment to a beach event. The potential for damage is huge. I would only bring my backup controller for something like this, and probably not even my best speakers/amplifiers/etc but I guess that's more debatable. The sand and humidity will shorten your equipment's life and looks, but you probably know this already and have made your decision. Just really caught me off guard with that expensive pioneer gear on the beach as I would never do that. Thanks again :)

The Jackery 1500 is VERY expensive. For a battery powered ceremony system there are many less expensive options. My battery power pack cost less than $200 and powers my ceremony system for many hours. In any event, I'm glad you found an option that works for you. That's all that matters. Congratulations!!!
@Housemix10
@Housemix10 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree there are many options. My thought process was not just for a Ceremony system. In one of the last video's I posted I did an event at a park where I needed to bring a Gas powered generator. In order to lift that generator in and out of my van I needed to ask for help. So I wanted something that could potentially replace that generator because there are times where there is no one around to help and I need to move fast. It is very cool that these types of devices exist and work for these types of applications. Thanks for watching.

@Housemix10
@Housemix10 2 жыл бұрын
First off, thanks for watching. Yes, I could done the event with 2 speakers and I could have used a smaller control deck. But the main goal that I was trying to accomplish here was a real world stress test of the Jackery unit. Plus I usually don't like to drive my speakers so I always prefer to bring out more than enough speakers and then just let them coast. Instead of using two speakers and driving them hard to cover the area. I am very picky about how everything sounds and regardless of the client / event I want things to sound the way I like. That is cool the there are others reviewing battery packs. You can count me in as another supporter of them over just using battery powered speakers.

If it's not a "dancing crowd" why would you bring 4 speakers? Why would you have a monitor speaker? That just takes up more power. If you know how to mix, the two speakers on the sides should be your monitors. Basically over kill on speakers. You said it yourself. They wanted you to turn it down. You should've just had 2 speakers and call it a day. You're playing for the crowd inside the tent. Not for the people outside the tent. nobody uses passive speakers anymore. And put your speakers up higher, so they are not at the same height as the guests ears. That's another reason why they probably told you to turn it down. I hoped you learn something.

@Housemix10 Well, when you put things out there. It's subject to construct criticism. And to be honest. 95% of DJ'S don't use passive speakers anymore. So, you doing a video about your power unit doesn't help the majority of viewers. Whether or not you don't care about what else i said. It's still relevant.
@Housemix10
@Housemix10 Ай бұрын
@@Mickeyj1981 I don't mind criticism. But again, you have missed the point. A stand alone Amplifier is going to have a larger power draw than a powered speaker. So me using two of those amps, plus two powered speakers as well should point out to everyone that this unit could easily power 2 powered speakers. FYI - I know many DJ's that still use passive speakers. Especially in outdoor environments. Again, thanks for watching.
