I’m happy to finally see another video using tape ins on a black woman. I’ve been using them for months and this method works best for me. I have extremely curly hair but it’s too fine for a sew in. Braids last a week max on me due to slippage. Ladies remember not every method works for everyone. Your hair will need to be blow dried each time it’s washed but you should not be washing more than once a week. Using the right products/ proper care of your hair is key regardless of extension method. Not only am I a DIY type of girl but I’m also a licensed cosmetologist so I’m mainly dropping this comment for some help to anyone who needs it. Tape ins seem to be shamed. Do your research before judging the method!

Thank you much for this comment, it really helps to inform people first hand. Because my salon focuses on mainly alternative method both just traditional weave I get a lot of rude comments from people who are uninformed and who have not experienced extensions themselves, these is so many method of extensions

So question...... having multiple methods mixed together like micro links and tape... does it not damage the hair from manipulation? Her hair looked a bit thin and mine is already naturally fine... will a tape install cause further breakage or thinning ?

Hi having mixed methods does not damage the hair at all. But if your hair is already think maybe invisible flat wefts are a better option. This lady says she always had thin hair and had always had tape in extensions at other salon.

Hi only if you use a 4c texture hair and have them silk pressed often. The issue with tape and glue in extensions is that you want to avoid the amount of oil and water near the room. Most 4c ladies add daily water and products so the tapes might just slide out

Sometimes it can, I would advise other options before taped or keratin bonds for that reason

Tape eventually damaged your hair, it pulls it out and thinning it.

I know this was a few years ago when you did this but I have a question I think you said you should only use the same color extensions as her base color so it would blend and look natural so I'm confused bc I mostly saw you placing the blonde highlight extensions throughout her hair I'm getting some soon and I have dark brown hair but want some blonde highlights can I use those or do I need to place some dark brown extensions on top of the blonde highlight extensions and then sandwich them??

Hi I don’t actually have a particular brand I’m afraid we have around 5 different types of pliers and we get beads from a company call Viola in UK and I often bulk purchase from Ali express. We carry our own line of extensions kits that we often use but these are out of stock until next week

I-tips or flat wefts are better than tapes for thin hair just because they are very easy to come out or move around. I wouldn’t have them then 4-5” longer than own hair

Hi hun she just Blowdrys and straightens our her hair like normal and it blends again. I don’t no many woman or was there hair and leave it to just air dry most ladies blow dry hair so that all anyone with extensions needs to do to make it match again

But the constant heat of stretching the root where it is curliest with a blow dryer would heat the tapes and cause them to not last but hers when you were removing , didn’t look like they had slipped at all so the tapes must be really well made or she took great care to avoid the tapes

Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video with this style but with any of the beaded weft methods??? I want to get that balyage/ombre look with out dying my hair and without tape-ins. The beaded weft methods are my absolute favorite types of hair extensions and I would love to know if you can accomplish this same look just with a different type of extension.
