Is there a video showing what happens when the hair reverts back? What is the texture at that point? Does this treatment have to grow out like a relaxer?
@Proextensionist4 жыл бұрын
Hi I actually just filmed my hair on my IG stories my curl pattern comes back when I wash my hair but takes seconds to blow dry back straight with a texture release. Around 3months I start to notice it puffing up more and more and when I wash the girls are tighter. But for some people curls come back fully after 2-3 months some up to 6 months really depends on your own hair
@firstblessed93863 жыл бұрын
@@Proextensionist so they will come back? How many times a year can you get this without messing up your curl pattern?

@@firstblessed9386 here for reply... I want to get a treatment to loosen my curl pattern and want to know how many times a year I can do it
@Layaya033 жыл бұрын
@@firstblessed9386 I don’t know if it’s to late or if I will help. I got the treatment 3 times in a year and a half till I stopped. For about month or two I noticed my curls were more so wavy/curly till they started to tighten back up. I wouldn’t say you lose your curls it just may take time for them to be how they were originally. I honestly loved when my hair was reverting back as I had less shrinkage and it was easier to manage.

I have relaxed hair but it’s quite thin and limp so thinking of going natural. my stylist has recommended that I have a keratin treatment so that I can still wear it straight. Is the texture release better for our hair?
@clairedaniels18772 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think it’s better because it’s not permanent. It wears off in 10-18 washes. You can wear hair straight and curly.

I'd love for someone to do an interview with a client who has had it done a few times because I have questions. Like, does the roots start to revert back the minute u start sweating? How long does the silk press actually last befor it needs to get washed n repressed inbetween those treatments? Etc.
@_LeeLee2 ай бұрын
I’ve done this on clients and the hair does not revert when you sweat. The smoothing system actually helps with frizzing….the silk press could last up to 3 wks with good maintenance. The second you wash your hair, it will revert back but the system last in your hair I believe up to 3 months, could be longer, I can’t remember at the moment, but it all depends on how often you wash it…. Personally my clients smoothing treatments had lasted longer than 3 months. I hope that made sense

If you have a hooded hair dryer like in the video then you can try but unfortuantely I had bought one of those blow up ones and it did not distribute the heat evenly let alone the fact that it kept flying off. Anyway it was an epic fail for me. I wanted to cry after all that money wasted.

The heat is what infuses the keratin to the hair. It’s not like using regular old heat protectant and heat styling. This treatment needs that heat to bind the keratin to the hair which protects it.

Thank you hun it’s a really common statement that people make about the heat without actually looking into why several passes are required. So really appreciate your reply xx
