A lot of guards can learn from Stephen Curry in terms of finishing at the rim. He's not the most athletic player but he's crafty around the rim. He knows how to maneuver his body to avoid getting his shot blocked.
@mrkickinthesky5 жыл бұрын
Ched Beckford at finishing at the rim curry is only second to uncle drew(going by eye-test), statwise curry had the highest percentage on layups and inside points i think if ur counting guards only
@slamandjam24 жыл бұрын
What guards need to learn MOST from him is his movement off the ball. Look at someone like Harden, easily a way better 1v1 player than Steph, but double team him at half court, he kicks it to one of his teammates and just stands there waiting to go 1v1 again. Steph STAYS moving, throwing defenses into disarray, and either getting to another open spot or causing so much panic in the defense that it frees up one of his teammates for an open shot. He is on another level when it comes to that
@anthonycelestin35593 жыл бұрын
Hieu Tran Curry is less acrobatic around the rim than Kyrie. Curry is more straight to the point when he drives
@jarodporter82053 жыл бұрын
Kyrie is the best at it because of his upper body strength and his acrobatics at the rim and how he uses the goal to his advantage in terms of hardly ever getting blocked.

His finger roll floater is terrific, why does he not drive more to the basket?, cause his outside 3 is lethal. Why does he not score more points?, cause he is not a ballhog?. Steph is becoming my favorite player of all time.

SMH @ "just a 3pt shooter". Steph is a great ball-handler. He is a facilitator, who creates movement and space for the offense. He is an elite shot-maker and in this series we saw him play through contact and finish at the rim. He also plays well within the team defense, and gets steals. He even gets rebounds and leads a lot of fast-breaks. To call him a one-dimensional player just displays ignorance.

People don't understand ball. They don't try to hide Steph, but with Klay, Draymond, KD, and Iggy on the floor Steph is the obvious choice to go at. Steph gets this rep as a bad defensive player because he can't guard Harden, Kyrie, and LeBron. Then every player in the league is a bad defender except Kawhi. Curry is not a great defender or a bad defender. Steph is an adequate defender who is opportunistic and gets steals. He is aware and a decent team defender. If people want to grade him against the best offensive players in the league then almost every defender would have a failing grade. Good offense is just better than good defense.

@@123123roo -- The point is that good offense beats good defense every day. You can't grade a defender based on their match ups against the best offensive players in the game only. Had the pleasure of being at game 5, the do or die game for the Warriors. That place was rocking, and when Klay went nuclear in the third you couldn't hear yourself saying anything. That don't call it Roacle for nothing.

Steph Curry said "this my f'ing house", built a winning culture. Lebron, KD, not even Kawhi can say that ....bouncing around from team to team.
