@user_abcxyzz4 жыл бұрын
Not underrated to me. Everyday we face so many ways we can die. Odds are you'll be fine but someday the odds may be against you. For that reason, everyday single day before I leave my home I say the same mantra, asking my angels to keep me safe, and before I close the door to my home, I take one last look inside and have the hope that it won't be the last 🙏
@Rmeb12284 жыл бұрын
Seriously, we never leave our home never expecting to return at the end of the day. We sometimes take life for granted being angry, stressed etc we all as humans need to learn the true gift of life and I believe it’s making memories and loving. Some of us put making money first when in fact we should be making memories.

"We lost probably the world's greatest Laker," that's so brutal coming from Shaq. Everyone knows the legacies of both of these men were always tied together and Shaq pretty much never openly acquiesced to the idea that Kobe was better than him. I'm feeling like I need to call my dad and my sisters to tell them that I love them.

Kobe wasn't 'better' than Shaq...he just played in LA longer. Shaq's Lakers resume is better than Kobe's on an individual level in fewer years. More Finals MVP's and same regular season MVP's in 12 fewer years.
@drunkvader Жыл бұрын
@@manuginobilisbaldspot424 yeah right Shaq have gotten those Finals MVP by "dominating" bumass centers in the finals, meanwhile Kobe got the best perimeter defenders of the era while having equal contribution to the whole 2001 postseason and carrying Shaq ass through the whole 2002 playoffs (finals against Nets was already a given win). Seasonal MVPs are also popularity contests, not a measure of greatness, and we all know media hated Kobe back then because of the Colorado case. And your argument is invalid since you're saying Shaq's accomplishments by being a Laker demolishes Kobe because he had been in Lakers longer than Shaq. Nope. That's the most stupid thing I've ever seen in KZbin in a while. Shaq winning those MVPs should already be expected as he was the best big man of the time and was on prime mode compared to a 21-23 years old player just about to enter his prime. It's like saying Rodman was the better Laker than Pau Gasol because of his whole resume while only being a Laker for a year. See the absurdity? Stop reaching. Kobe is the best Laker because he holds the most records for the franchise, even Magic and the owners already admitted that fact, so nobodies and wannabe experts can't deny this. Also, if you're gonna say because he played there for 20 years, that's the point. It's rare for a player to even play 10-13 years in the league, even moreso in a lone franchise. That's not a demerit to his achievements but is actually a proof that he's dedicated, something new players today severly lack.

I remember Derek Jeter saying at 40 and his final season in baseball and with the Yankees that someone told him that he was an old man at baseball, but a young man in life. Kobe was still a young man in life even at and after retirement. He was just getting his post-NBA career just started. He was focusing on being a loving husband and father to his family. Its such a shame! Even through their turmoil as teammates, Shaq got to know Kobe as a person and knew Kobe loved his family. Life is so short. RIP Kobe and Gigi

I was in boot camp when this happened and it was so grueling at the time we didn’t fully get the emotional impact until much later. 3 years later and I’m silently weeping at the anguish of so many people over such a great man. It’s palpable and it gives me hope that more good people like Kobe and all the others who died before their time gift their talent and purpose to another worthy soul.

You can hear in his voice that he is a broken man. It's really hard to watch stuff like this. My heart goes out to him.
@999a0s3 жыл бұрын
i hope people realize that this monologue is a cry for help. as soon as he said "i don't talk to you guys as much as i need to" and his voice broke that should be crystal clear. "people say, take your time, it'll get better...i already don't sleep anyway. ...i'll figure it out" that sentence should set off alarm bells. the belief that it won't get better, feeling of powerlessness, then followed by deflection, "whatever, i'll handle it". recognize signs like this in your own life so you can know when people REALLY need you to be there for them, to spend time with them, and to just listen to them.

@@DennGreenIII Most, if not all, of us have lost someone. That's beside the point. I've lost multiple people in my life, and I've never been broken, just brokenhearted. Being broken is a collapse, a subjugation to pain, a surrender. Shaq hasn't surrendered, is not broken. Again, he's brokenhearted. His losses have not brought him to his knees. He's stronger than your weeping over-the-top psychological interpretation of the man.

When I come and watch this, it helps me remember to be grateful about all the small things and in between. Miss you Kobe.

Dude. I held off watching this for almost three months. I'm not so much in denial anymore, but I feel the void and always will. Sometimes, the pain subsides, and other times it hurts to breathe. This is by far the most challenging loss concerning athletes for me. I've known the name, Kobe Bryant, all my life. Outwardly, I've yet to say that he's dead; I don't want to. It doesn't feel or sound right. I can't go on forever with this comment, so I think I'll just hang it up here. Love you, Kobe Bean. Miss you. This sucks big time.

@@lvl5charmander I didn't have a problem with Shaq's speech at the ceremony. Fresh after Kobe's death, my sister asked if I saw this video, and people were sharing it over and over. The thumbnail alone let me know he was distraught. Can't force tears. Besides, seeing Michael break down was enough. It was a beautiful sendoff, but of course, it all still feels like a dream.

Venus Se7en my wife bought me the Kobe mamba mentality book I read 3 pages and had to stop it was just too sad. I also barely came back to this video, I don’t think I can ever watch his memorial service at staples ever again. Even tho I never met him it legit depressed me for months now. I took my kids to the staples courtyard memorial to see the love he got. Coronavirus only made things worse. I think we all need a reminder like this video every once in a while if only to keep us on our toes and keep thriving no matter what because that’s what Kobe would do
