I'm an MJ fan, diehard Kobe fan, but let me say one thing. I've watched games since I was born in 1993. This in my eyes is the greatest game I've ever watched. Legacy, pressure, everything hinged on this one game, and this man came out like a soul less killer. This Lebron is potentially the greatest player who has ever played, it was that magical of a performance.

@Mikeboogie83 the reason this is #1 for me is because of the implications if he loses. Pat Riley was going to potentially ship Wade out of Miami and start over with something else. His legacy wouldn't have gotten to this point if he loses this game. He had everything on the line and he delivered, that's why it has to be his best. This game was the slingshot his career needed.

As a Celtics fan, this still hurts, but this man delivered with everything on the line. This changed the whole NBA. Miami was on the brink of losing their first 2 years as a big 3, and they probably get broken up afterwards. But LeBron, with everything on the line, including his legacy, delivered one of the best performances I've ever seen, if not the best given the circumstances. Gotta give credit where it's due.

@@kaz7690 these sort of debates don’t go anywhere because “greatness” is so subjective. I personally don’t like players who perform well in the first three quarters of games with a comfortable lead, but choke in the 4th in the clutch. I think being clutch is possibly the most important attribute of a great player. That mental toughness and killer instinct is what makes you stand out above the crowd of highly talented players. Lebron isn’t clutch. He’s mentally weak. That’s what’s so frustrating about watching him. He greatly underperforms his raw physical talents because he’s mentally weak. Someone like that doesn’t get to be in GOAT conversations, but sure, I’ll concede that he’s in my top 10.

@@fadhirulafnan9491 me too, KG is the biggest phony masquerading as a real talk tough guy in the history of basketball. Kobe similar. So much big talk they try so hard to make you forget KG's years in minny getting stomped on until he waived his no trade clause like a little girl. Or Kobe's game 7 against the suns when he literally gave up after 3 minutes into the first quarter forcing him to demand a trade to the bulls next season. Real tough guys, lol. I'd take Lebron or wade or even Udonis Haslem's toughness over these phonies.

Don't compare that to this. That was a battle. This was a massacre. Not to mention this was literally LeBron's legacy on the line and he wasn't coming here after 2 single digit scoring games like Jimmy. And did I mention the experience part of the Celtics? That was a very good game by Jimmy. This is one of the greatest games ever by an NBA player
