What should not be overlooked is the defense that Kawhi played on Durant. He forced Durant into very tough shots. Kd had to make some tough shots. Who else plays the other teams best offensive player and is his teams best offensive player while putting up 38 points.

All the Suns problems were on full display last night: 1. They're soft in the front court (Allowed 15 Orebs and got hammered in 2nd chance points) 2. Kevin Durant's legacy is going to be really interesting if the Suns lose. KD has arguably the GOAT talent, but he deserves much more pressure for never winning a ring without Golden State's ridiculous super team. I know he got hate for joining, but the real hate should be in why he seemingly doesn't add THAT much to a team with good enough support. If you replaced Lebron with Durant right now on the lakers, there's no chance they beat Memphis. So it seems at least.

I agree with all of this minus the part about replacing Bron with KD. The player with the most influence on the Lakers right now is AD and they are playing great as a unit with the pieces they got after the trade deadline. LeBron is still great but his best days are behind him. You make a great point about KD's legacy tho. It is in jeopardy.

@@jefcergos I see what you're saying, I think both KD and Lebron are past their prime. But I can't help but imagine that KD + AD would actually be an odd mix that wouldnt work too great. Lebron's real plus or minus is 3rd in the entire NBA still for the year, while AD is 8th. If we throw out the calculations, the regular plus or minus still slightly favors Lebron over AD too, and Lebron had to play way more miserable games when AD was hurt. There's something about the way Lebron rebounds, and now in the playoffs with his blocking picking up, that I think makes him this foundational player that KD never will be. We'll see.
