@@nosondre Israel, Jerusalem and Hebrew. And Aramaic. Jews are originally from Israel. Most of our holidays are centered around what happened to us in Israel and how we lived in ancient Israel. Literally almost all our holidays are land-based like this. Shabbat commandments are also land-based. And all our prayers are in Hebrew and Aramaic. This is why jews must know Hebrew. The language of our ancient land 🇮🇱 That's why converting to Judaism can take years of learning all this 😉

When during your first year comes the Shavous Holyday, the giving of the Torah, then the whole Hag is conductive to remembering where you both were within the 12 Tribes, and especially during reading the Torah you can meditate and draw your new souls of now, to reconnect back to the old souls of then. Glad you guys are feeling better and back at it! For those who aren’t orthodox, and might think you’re exaggerating, or only see it this way because you’re new to it, take it from a born Orthodox Jew: the comment about Jewish law being an infinite ocean is spot on. I’m a very simple, not super knowledgeable person, so it’s certainly true for me. But it’s absolutely true what you said, even the biggest Torah scholars are constantly learning new things, and will continue to do so throughout their lives. Torah is so incredibly vast, it’s unfathomable. Anyway, keep doing what you do! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, you guys just feel so Jewish. Can’t wait until that’s officially the case!

Hi! Thanks for sharing! 1) Maybe some inspiration for you: think of your conversion process like a fetus developing in the womb. Yeah it’s hard and you just want it over with already, but everything is happening according to plan. You don’t want to rush the process too early because then you’ll be missing out on vital development. You want to arrive at your destination be’shaah tovah. 2) Who says it’s a bad thing to read Hebrew at a slower pace in comparison to some others? The important thing is that you’re concentrating and meditating on what you’re saying. You don’t want to get to a place where you’re saying things by rote. Tefillah at its root is turning inwards; it’s not a race, it’s a destination.

Danielle, I love your head wrap. That color is beautiful on you. I'm thinking about trying new styles with my head wraps. I tend to stick to the same two styles all the time. I smiled when ya'll mentioned that the Jewish people don't seek people to convert (I don't recall your exact words). It may not be your intention, but I think by sharing your story, your joy, and your love for God and the Jewish people, you MIGHT be influencing people to consider Judaism. I don't think that's a bad thing. Is that a bad thing? I'm curious to know if you have to know all of the laws before you're able to convert.
@houseoflev Жыл бұрын
Hey Tara. Thank you girly❤️! Yes you should try. Let me know how it turns out if you do. 😄 And yes, people could get inspired, but it’s not our intention for making the videos. Not a bad thing. And no, you don’t have to know ALL of the laws. But a daily habit of learning and a desire to wanting to learn as much as you can. Remember, the only way we learn how to live as Jews, is to study and learn Jewish law. so the more, the better😉 Great question

I am enjoying your talks! I recently found you. I am also very familiar with Rabbi Singer, and recently ordered his volume 1, Let’s get Biblical. I, like you, started my truth seeking journey, which lead me (and my daughters in tow) to several different churches. It was from one pastor’s negative comment against Jews that first ignited by intellectual curiosity, which has not ceased. I am now six or seven years into learning about Judaism ✡️. I have fallen in love with the beauty and logic of it, and I have a deep appreciation for its order and tradition. My daughters are now 14 and 11. My older is currently of the Christian persuasion, but is at the Club Z teen convention in LA. I’m driving to meet her and enjoying your content while I drive. I am curious how my husband fits into my potential conversion. He has always been 100% supportive, but likely may not join me… Crazy/random thought- Down the road is it crazy to envision a kitchenette in the garage if he wants to microwave bacon? So far, I tease him that he’ll have to go to our neighbor’s house across the street for his bacon needs… Anyhow, thank you for your content. I look forward to catching up…

👋🏾 Hey hey! Thanks so much for your message. Continue to pray and ask questions. Those questions will lead you down the right path. As far as the kitchenette lol…if you’re going down the orthodox route, then that wouldn’t be allowed. Shalom 👋🏾! These are not easy questions. The first thing I would say is to try and speak with your local Orthodox Rabbi. They would be able to guide you perfectly. As well as being able to provide the best advice for you regarding renting or buying a home. From our experience, when going through an Orthodox Conversion, the Beit Din typically require both parties to be on the same page before accepting them into a conversion program. But we are not authoritative in this regard. Every family dynamic is different and there could be many layers. Please keep us updated! Hatzlacha

Obviously you completed your conversion but if you have the intention to fulfill a mitzvot but you’re not doing it, is it a sign that you aren’t supposed to convert? I’m not going to believe God is a liar, when he said that the law was not too hard for you (the Jew) so what is the kosher way of accepting and growing from that?

Regarding learning to speak - or at least _daven_ - in Hebrew: I ate a Shabbos meal in the home of a couple that converted quite a few years ago. And as normal and as regular (for lack of a better term; sorry) they were, they still stumbled over the words of _kiddush._ People can spend years, or even decades, learning a foreign language without gaining the fluency and fluidity of natives, and liturgical Hebrew is no different. FWIW, _ba'alei teshuva_ struggle with it too. (Have you ever heard Ben Shapiro trying to use a Hebrew expression?) I think it's perfectly normal, and by itself should not deter someone from pushing onward. It's really hard to learn a second language as an adult and have it become second nature. So all I can say is _chazak ve'ematz,_ be strengthened and supported. I look forward to being able to count you for a _minyan_, if we're ever in the same locale.

I made it to the end! Always enjoy your videos! Sorry you had food poisoning!!! Especially you, Danielle!!! Being pregnant and that sick is NOT fun! So glad y’all are better! Missed y’all!! You know I got the Garden of Peace for Women. I casually told my husband about it and what a great book it is. Shared some things I’m learning. But mostly keeping it to myself. I also mentioned they have one for men. He actually asked me to order him one!!!!!! I never suggested it or pressured him to get one! My marriage has been struggling bad. And I can’t believe my husband is even showing interest in growing!!! So the book should be here soon! Even though I’m Christian, you are making a difference in my life and are encouraging me in my walk with G-d and living for Him and by HIS ways!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Wow that’s amazing Karen. You’re a wonderful example. We pray that your marriage only strengthens and gets better and better. These books are universal. So if applied; it will radically change everything! Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help

How do you guys overcoming economic challenges to afford total costs of an Orthodox Conversion? The cost of moving to a Jewish community, paying fees to the Beis Din, Mikvah, paying shul membership fees, etc??l

Great question !!!! Honestly… we didn’t wait until we had “all of our ducks” in a row. We didn’t overthink it. We knew if we would’ve waited until everything was “in place”…our process would’ve took longer. We weren’t irresponsible at all. But paid for what we needed to pay for, but our main thing was pure emuna.

@@Baa975 I guess you have no clue what I was eluding to...so the only negstive one around here is you finding negativity where none exists.

@@Baa975it’s true. Ivrit is not loshan hakodesh… tefillos is loshan hakodesh and ivrit is a made up language using that as a base but making up many new words and changing the meanings of other words. It’s not the same language at all. One is holy loshan hakodesh and one is a made up one. Simple as that.
