Nice collection. It's clear you've worked hard to make it all look very clean and nice. I also have over 300 plants in my house, with most of these same plants. However, mine don't look as pristine as yours do, especially the alocasia's. So my biggest question is how do you keep Calathea's and Alocasia's outside a greenhouse or grow-tent looking so pristine? I see very little damage or browning on several plants that are very famous for growing damaged areas and having a lot of browning on them. I usually cut the brown areas off of mine, but would love to know what you are doing that preserves them from this damage, and allows them to grow so well in normal room conditions. I realize you have a humidifier, but humidifier's can only push the humidity so much in large rooms. So please elaborate on some of the things that you are doing that could be useful for those of us who have found your video. I've just found your channel, as I'm addicted to looking at other peoples plant collections. But I also try to pick up bits and pieces of information and technique where I can in each video. Thanks Good vid. BTW, you look and sound just like the character "Rose" on the TV show, Two and a Half Men. Lol. Cheers!

But for now if you would answer a couple it would help me tremendously! I saw the way you make your moss poles but I’m wondering how you water the moss? I usually make a mess. If you have a special technique it would help. You have given me hope because my Cebu blue and my monstera Albo are looking really sad and now I’m realizing they want to climb. And what do you mean when you mention fertilizing vs feeding? And how often should I do that? You’re awesome! Thanks for all the content. @plantsbymelissa2 жыл бұрын
It’s not his technique actually :) Craig Milran was the first if I remember correctly and I was actually inspired by Paz on insta 😁 Humidity usually is 50-60’s most days so very fortunate to have that here but my poles dry out within 2 days. The temperature gets over 80 degrees in here over summer so I can’t keep them moist for long. I try to water twice a week but they’re a lot of work! :)

Do you put damp moss on the top of the soil for most of your plants? And if so what is the reason? humidity?

Just anthurium! It helps their aerial roots grow down into the substrate it also helps them from drying out a little too fast in my cabinet ☺️

I'm sorry! I don't really have any experience with a virus on a plant!
