Do you leave the bathroom lights on a bunch? If not they will die eventually sadly. They may die eventually regardless without the proper type of light. Those plants can survive for months with no light but ALL plants need light eventually of they will die. You can't photosynthesize without light and they need to do that or they will die.

I just want to tell you to be careful putting grow lights as your regular lightbulbs because grow lights actually have a warning on them that says you’re supposed to wear special glasses when you look at them and I would not want something bad to happen to your sweet little baby cakes, or you and Ryan, just please be so careful

Do you have hard water? If you do the white that you see could just be a buildup of minerals from your tap water. I have had that happen, but when I switched to filtered water to water my plants it went away. If it is a fungus, yoy can treat it with hydrogen peroxide. Let’s see how messy this bathroom is compared to mine... ...ok. Goals for mine. Lol. Also don’t ferns seem like good bathroom choices? I never thought of it. Also snake plants, dracaena, begonia? Pepperomia? And for succulents - Haworthia, gasteria and their hybrids gasteraloe/etc. actually don’t like full hot sun. Haworthia are one succulent that does excellent inside, provided you have airflow coming at some point or often.

I also have a variegated wax ivy in my bathroom! Im jealous yours is so bushy, mine came as one long tendril wrapped around a stick. I wish there was more info out there about this plant too. I tried to make it bush out by pinning the tendril end to the soil but that stopped growing and it popped out a random tendril on the top to keep reaching the light fixture :/ so now it’s two long tendrils instead of a bush. So yeah it’s a funny little plant with a mind of its own.

I have something I've been wondering about plants people keep in the shower. Does the shampoo and soaps used while showering not harm the plants in there? What about over watering? It depends on the bulb 😋 led bulbs can help plants grow, but they don’t give off the full spectrum light they need to photosynthesize so regular led bulbs wont result in a healthy growing plant, but it can still help in some cases!

I had it in my bathroom and I've tried watering it more, watering less... I've moved it. I don't know. I'm just puzzled by what it wants. Girl I am so jealous of your Philodendron Brazil. Mine is doing great but the leaves aren't as big and no orange stems yet.🤞 I've actually always wanted one of those Seneco Ivy's ,I think that's the name. I saw one once at a plant shop and freaked but I had plants in my hands already that I really was jacked about haha. Never seen another since 😭. The struggle. You could add some shelves to your bathroom and that would be a place to put your daily stuff .... plus more plants 😏 . My design shelf input 😂 Two wood ( same color as your vanity ) with black brackets over the small towel holder by the sink and then 3 long wood shelves with the black brackets on the other side of the door ✨

Also, the philodendron gloriosum looks a lot like an elephant ear to me, maybe I'm wrong. But do you think a purple elephant ear would do well in a bathroom? I was recently given one with very droopy leaves AND aphids D:> and they have only gotten droopier and droopier.
