Singapore has a home ownership rate of 90% because of excellent government housing..the PRIVATE HOUSING SECTOR donates billions to both major parties and needs to be outlawed before we have more people dying homeless and children homeless for their entire childhood. GOVERNMENT HOUSING NOW

The majority of Singaporean housing stock is highrise apartment towers. Easy to construct and people will live in them as there's no other choice being a tiny city state. The context and culture of Australia is entirely different.

When a politician will lose their seat without the bribes from property developers or votes from the house owning class nothing will change. The Australian that struggles in a damn job to pay off a hyper inflated house loan will be all the more loyal to a politician to secure their investment by keeping prices high by reducing supply and increasing demand. Australian politics and economy is broken and I don't see change whiles these circumstances continue.
