The 82 floor Southwest Tower that was cancelled in the mid eighties due to the oil bust , maybe in today's economy it would be a great time to build that Southwest, it was suppose to have been built across from the One Shell Plaza to the east on that parking lot, that building would have been a lot taller than the JP Morgan Chase Tower. Austin is building an at 74 floors at 1021 feet, building that Southwest Tower would blow that away or building an building taller than the Empire State Building in Houston, Texas.

Some of East River land is toxic waste dump. There have been metal plating business, other industrial businesses located on land for decades. Also East River is down stream from sewage plant discharge point. 🙂 Once upon a time Sharpstown, Greenpoint were brand spanking new luxury apartment communities also. They quickly went ghetto, crime infested areas because of government housing projects, section 8 housing. In Houston Montrose there are atleast two giant government housing projects near former 4th Ward neighborhood. While some people pay in excess of $2,000 a month rent others live close by and pay next to nothing. Enjoy Communism people!!!! Where will the next Greenpoint, Sharpstown be???? 🤳🔥

"But only one helipad that residents will have to share" This man's got jokes. Post Houston opened and it's beautiful. The Allen's helipad, if it got built, will probably never be used, wind. Why are all the new cool developments, ultra-luxury. There's tons of space for everything... Yet we still have the derelict Holiday Inn building and low-ish density in midtown.

Houston needs a subway system for the downtown. If you have navigated downtown houston streets then you know traffic is a nightmare. Houston needs Elon MUSK Boring Company to go really deep and dig out a subterranean subway system to link all the office and medical high rise buildings to get most of the worker traffic off the roads .
