This is the saving work of Matthew 25. Mattress Mac has a GED and vocational school with a daycare for women who could not complete high school. He has a prison outreach program that looks for trustworthy parolees and gives them jobs. Mattress Mack was invited as a guest speaker at a bank I worked at 25 years ago! He shared his story of how he started his business. People even made fun of his TV commercials at the time, but his business continued to grow and he has become a blessing to this city. I still have furnitue we bought at his store!!! This gentleman is a hero. The damage to his stock must be costing him thousands of dollars but he had no hesitation in opening his doors. Brought me to tears.
