The best fit is to start Wb and bench harden for second unit like back in okc Here is why - first of all, Wb is much better player than harden. Harden's flopping and rule manipulation while playing no D will never win. More importantly, harden always disappears and mentally gives up when it counts the most (which it is why harden is 0-10 in an elimination game - all time worst in nba history) while WB at least has the mamba mentality of trying to win Secondly, it makes more sense separating them, Esp harden is too selfish to share ball like with Howard and cp3 (both had their career worst by playing with harden), but more importantly, harden has always been very disengaged without the ball. So let harden plays with second unit off the bench Esp harden's ball hogging, isolation and over dribble will take up at least 20 secs of clock anyway before passing to his teammates to bail him out... Wb doesn't drain the clock and get his teammates more involved which it makes senses to have the starters playing with Wb... Even Gordon doesn't like to play with harden.

In the regular season and statistically they did well but they still lost in five to the Lakers in the second round they’re just too ball dominant At this point in their careers James Harden might be a third option to Tyrese Maxey and Westbrook isn’t good anymore Russell Westbrook really only did well with KD but even then KD left because Westbrook was too ball dominant

They’ve got chemistry and have been great friends since they were 10 or 11. There was a huge difference from 10-11 to when they got to OKC and it worked out pretty well. I’m optimistic it’ll be much of the same now but only time will tell.

You can make the argument that the worst years of Westbrook’s deal ($47m age 34) is better than the best of Chris Paul ($39m age 34) and CP3’s deal gets worse and worse every season. I think it’ll work. Russ and Harden will both adjust they game, and the pressure Russ can put on the defense will get harden more easy buckets.
