These days, I refuse to help or attempt to help ANYONE. Guess what... I AM the villian, now, and my life is actually better. Instead of giving to everyone else, I keep it all for my benefit. I argued that he is a child in some sense throughout these ages until he is at least past the mid-20's, because that is the reality biologically. That is the world all of us live in. No one gets to choose a different neurological basis of existence. Other ancient cultures have long recognized this, like a Jewish young man coming of age at his Bar Mitzvah, the beginning of his responsibilities in adult life at age 12-13, yet not considered eligible for full adult privileges as a man until age 30. I argued exactly the opposite of the position you suppose (that he is a man), and I have no idea what motive you refer to for arguing otherwise.

@@jamescowan5975 I grew up in a drug-filled neighborhood where I, as a white person, was a minority. It doesn't matter where one lives. I have security cameras around my home, and of course I check them before opening the door. But one young man standing at the door with no visible weapons? Of course I am opening the door and seeing what he wants. Sure, I am suspicious if someone is acting shady, but knocking on doors is the furthest from being discreet. Chill out James, this lovely young man was trying to earn some legitimate money with his side-hustle. Nothing shady about it. Save your antiquated opinions for the seniors home.

It’s the impure intentions behind it and was probably mad because didn’t come out if he was doing honest work the skin color for him being black adds insult to injury because no matter the race age or whatever somebody could have gotten arrested on false charges and would have been assumed guilty but him being black of all the races could have been the reason of an unwarranted death because of the bullshit neighbors making up deliberate false reports to be petty …. I bet 911 got numerous calls of him doing something positive and was not gonna come out so the neighbors kept pursuing even if it meant to tell them type of lies and the intent and persistence that want into it is plain disrespectful and evil and a prime example of how messed people are literally

Same thing happened to me over 30 years ago I was accused of a violent crime and ended up having to go to court and defend myself. I won the case but as you say the humiliation factor still stood.on top of that many years later this incident indirectly caused me to lose a job when my accuser adamant that it was me in the original case complained to a place that I was working in the neighborhood convincing them to fire me…..

He didn’t choose anything illegal or underhanded in doing so. 2nd thanks to the neighbor for sticking up for him, it shouldn’t be this way, but it is what it is. 3rd, to whoever called the cops, may the young men you need to be worried about meet you and give you a REAL reason to worry.

I'm typically very vigilant and watchful of where I live, but at the same time I don't know what possesses some people to call 911 before they even know what's going on and sometimes even intentionally making false claims. I fear these people, these so-called neighbors way more than I would fear a kid painting address numbers on the curb.

It happens to me*all the time* because the developer behind my property doesn't like me and my neighbors cannot see into my yard or house. When I purchased 9 years ago I installed a 6 foot FULL PRIVACY fence 2 years later (after catching my neighbors husband on his roof masturbating while I was getting dressed) all around the property. *Since the fence, the police are called frequently for "Welfare Checks" from anonymous sources.* Every few months, and every few weeks in summer. Even though I get the mail EVERY DAY.
@darkpassenger65
@darkpassenger65 2 жыл бұрын
@@OfficialMyxomatosis Yikes! Roof masturbating is out of my realm, but I will say it appears that the police are slowly coming around to the fact that many times the 911 caller is exaggerating or outright lying about the facts. There's a video making the rounds right now where the police got a call of a man with a gun. Several officers arrive and they're running hot. That is inherently dangerous even before they arrive to the scene. Turns out the guy was just an auditor and was videotaping from the sidewalk. No weapon at all. The command officer really laid into that woman. Everyone knew she lied on the call and even tried to lie to the commander but all 911 calls are recorded and I guess she didn't know that. A lot of it is how well the dispatchers are trained and vet the calls meaning to ask the right questions and determine if there is an actual crime that was committed or about to be committed. Sorry for the rant, but maybe it time to move. Neighbors like that can really reduce your quality of life.

@@OfficialMyxomatosis -You can request copies of ALL the 911 calls at your address. They are all PUBLIC RECORDS. These will tell WHO is asking for these so-called welfare checks. I thought about having my teenage 6"2 , husky son doing this a few summers back for an honest hustle and I quickly dismissed it for this very reason. As brown parents, with brown children, especially sons we have to always be in front of the game of racism and think things through thoroughly. Unfortunately, some will always assume that as brown people we are up to no good. Thank God for the neighbor who vouched for him and were looking out because this could have ended much worse. I hope you've learned something from my comment.

Think it also depends on the neighborhood, my home town would've likely not cared except for making sure it was all being done legally (license, permits, etc.) Used to go on walks at 2 AM, it was a small town so it wasn't hard to pass the same officer several times and they never cared to stop by and check if I'm an adult. Just me eating some crackers. Usually they only bothered you if they saw you doing something dangerous or illegal, or someone saw you breaking the law. Even then, I used to run around with airsoft guns for some stupid reason and never got stopped by the cops. Only time they ever stopped me was me riding a moped without a license, my car blinker being out and telling me to be careful playing near the road when I was 4 or 5. But circumstances are certainly different, it was a small town, there's a good chance all those cops knew me very well whether from simply seeing me grow up or because their own kid was my friend and I didn't have a notorious status of being a troublemaker in town. The city I live in is a lot more complicated, didn't grow up here, the environment changes from neighborhood to neighborhood, and the cops are less predictable except for how much they don't care about the small stuff as much (they'll still sometimes give bother about it, but its usually not a full stop,
