Would you target OL 1st or 2nd round if you're the Texans?

I'd rather try to fix it through free agency. Our center is... OK and would probably be better if Chris Strausser wasn't coaching him. We need two guards and I don't want us to rely on 2 rookies. I honestly would rather us pick up Loveland if he's available. He could take on Schultz's role immediately and be better at the blocking day one to provide that extra bit of oomph in the run game if we shore up the IOL. 2nd round is still too muddy to say pre combine, but I think you guys pulled the best option for us based on your big board. I wouldn't be even a little upset about us going safety in the second though. We need another coverage safety to keep Bullock company out there. Jimmy Ward's not it, and Pitre's best role has him playing up close. You guys are 100% correct that IOL is our greatest need though.

I like the first two picks, I would get HB later and get a WR or safety. In the 3rd round I would go safety to compete with ward or WR. Or go WR 2nd round and 3rd round guard, then go guard again later in the draft.

I’d rather grab WR in round 3. After Nico, Tank is hurt, and Diggs’ contract is up. Not comfortable with Metchie and Hutchinson as wr2 and 3 rolling into next year

The biggest need going into this offseason for the Texans is another weapon for CJ. Tank will be out all next year and Diggs is a FA coming off an ACL injury. They must get CJ someone other than Nico or Mixon to get the ball to. Line can be fixed in FA or later in the draft. Weapon is clearly number one need and I’ve been a Texan fan since day 1

Texans need explosive playmakers that can make big gains underneath. An explosive tight end is a bigger need that a 2nd string RB

If u really watched the Texans they are very strong on the Dline. I wouldn’t go that route in the first round. Personally if u not looking to go the main priority which is IOL and maybe u don’t like the guys there at that point of the draft I will go Tight end and target a guy like Tyler Warren out of Penn State

Caserio missed too much on the interior oline with Kenyon Green and Juice Scruggs. I think Texans will need to sign a veteran interior lineman. Can’t gamble anymore. Egbuka, tyliek Williams, and Treyveon Henderson. Surround Stroud with two more weapons that he is familiar with. Scattebo is too similar to Mixon as a bruiser. Pierce didn’t work as a bruiser either.

I hear what you are saying but do you really trust this offensive staff to coach up young offensive linemen? I certainly DO NOT. I trust Demico and staff to coach up young defensive players. I would rather sign free agent offensive players who already know how to play at the pro level.

Everyone seems to think we need to draft oline with every pick. Youre notngoing to replqce the entire interior line in this draft. We need a solid number 2 reciever. A third of cj's sacks are because he holds the ball too damn long cause we dont have anyone that can get open. If Egbuka falls to us at 19, he should be a lock. If he gets drafted, my 1b pick is S Nick Emmanwori. Dude is a freak ar 6'3 230lbs. Hits like a lb but runs like a safety amd is a ballhawk. Loves playing in the box. Can play nickle or backhalf. He would replace jimmie ward, who hasnt finished a season yet and would completely solidify our secondary making it one of the leagues best. 2nd round is where im looking for a guard. Tate Ratlidge from Georgia. Solid pass protector and run blocker at 6'6 325lbs. In the 3rd, and we may have to trade up a bit to get him, im targetting kyren lacy wr from lsu decent size and speed. You can cut woods, keep metchie and hutchinson and he would give cj a solid target.

Yes we need DT help but this team is bad in the redzone. If Warren or Loveland are there in the 1st that’s the pick. Then IOL, then bpa. WR is also a sneaky need. But we have to help CJ and we have to get better in the redzone

I really like this draft but I would pick either a 3rd down back in the third or a WR. I feel like between Mixon and Pierce we have short yardage covered. We can get another interior OL man in free agency.

I'm okay with drafting DT early but I think you guys are off when it comes to DT play. I don't care what your PFF grade is for DT run defense. Texans run D was 11th overall. Fatukasi, Settle and Edwards have all had great seasons. And not having Autry for 6 games (suspension) didn't help.

When Foley was out run defense took a big hit. They definitely need another run defending body in there. But they don’t need a NG like the 2 these guys mentioned.

Both Grant and Williams are NFL 0T, Texans don’t run 0T NG’s. They are far more likely to take Derrick Harmon, or Walter Nolen in the first.
