Lol 30th in sacks is far from being decent at anything. That’s our one weakness right now and to pass on Chase Young across from Will Anderson is crazy. Fuck draft picks at this point, we are already all in and we already have our young core. It’s time to put that money in good use to start making a run.

My own opinion is to forgo trading for Chase Young at this time because of the cost associated with Young, I think that it would be more prudent to try and upgrade via the draft, that way you don't have to contend with a large contract for someone that has missed so many games. We need to be more focused on the health of our players or we'll just be paying a lot of money for part-time help.

The time to go all in on plug and play players is right now and through the off season. Get this team as talented as possible around CJ with players that we don't need to wait to develop while he is on his rookie deal. I say go for Young now, and pursue Tee Higgins in the off season. Use the Browns pick on the best linebacker, or O-lineman whichever one will help more. We have plenty of cap space and a lot of talent on this team. We can do big things next year if we get just a few more pieces.

My concern is that Chase Young at this time, is coming up on his 5th year, which means that he'll be eligible for his first pro contract, if we wait he'll be a veteran free agent which would not cost us a draft pick and have us over-pay for someone that has had injury issues. We could have him on a one year deal to prove his durability.@@jakewoodisgood1

We don't need a Corner? Stingley is about to come back and our Corners are playing pretty damn good in his absence anyways. Texans are second to last on sacks and a damn rookie is getting all the double teams, we absolutely need more pass rush, it's by far the biggest need we have. Chase Young would actually be the piece that would help us get to the Playoffs possibly this year even.

there is no way they are giving up a first or second rounder for anybody…. this isn’t a one year plan, it’s a 2 to 3 year plan.. you don’t give away those kind of assets in the first year six games into the season…..

I actually think we are a Chase Young away from being an elite defense. We have a great secondary with Stingley coming back. Most games we are not putting near enough pressure on the QB however and we are second to last on sacks in the year. If we trade for him for a second round pick now, and sign Tee Higgins in free agency during the off-season we will be an actual threat in the AFC. We need to take advantage of CJ Stroud while he is on his rookie contract. That is the key to getting a SB.

Everyone’s getting too excited and trigger happy. If we can get Chase for a 3rd rd then let’s make it happen. However we have other issues hitting this off szn w/ Schultz, Nelson, Greenard, Perryman, Rankins, Fant, and Griffin. Let’s not even mention 2025 either. The point is if these players continue around the same production if not finish stronger we’ll have to hand out some contracts. So yes we have money now, but we’ll also need to see where we end up at the end of the szn. No need to rush. We’re yrs ahead of the rebuild. I would say the rebuild is over after this szn if the cards are played right. Once FA hits ppl will want to come to Houston to play for Demeco and stroud.

The key to winning a SB is to get this team as good as possible while CJ Stroud is on his rookie contract. We desperately need another elite pass rusher now, and in the off season we should swing for the fences and bring in Tee Higgins. Nico, Higgins, Tank Dell, and Metchie would be a great WR room and Will Anderson and Chase Young would give the Texans a scary good D line.

I would rather Jaylon Johnson from the bears. We need corners bad. We gave up 300+ yards the last two weeks and gave Desmond Ridder his first 300 yard game of the year. Stingley will be out for a while and Griffin is under a one year deal. At the least this will give us two dominant Corners for next year maybye 3 counting Nelson . A no fly zone in Houston

We don't need Corners, we have Stingley coming back. Don't blame the secondary on those yards, blame the pass rush. They are second to last on sacks on the year and Desmond Ridder had all day to throw. The biggest need is another good pass rusher and this defense will be borderline elite

@@jakewoodisgood1 We dont get sacks but our pass rush is top of the league in QB pressure mainly because by the time the pass rush gets to them they have a man wide open down field. Desmond Ridder did not have all day to throw neither did Carr. They do a three step drop and throw it to the hot route receiver everytime. Which is why Ridder who is horrible at going through his progressions was able to produce. Thats not a defensive line issue thats a coverage issue. Prime JJ wouldnt get sacks having to deal with that.
