I agree with Jill on having the double front doors. Gives it a more grand entry. Love that! Also she mentioned on the Perry home that the laundry room and pantry were on the small side. I feel the same way however I really liked the flow of the house. The tall ceilings make the house look a lot larger than it already is. All of the houses were beautiful and I enjoyed Jill's opinions on what she liked and things she would do differently. 😊

The prices are absolutely ridiculous I live in Eagle Idaho and I know the land per lot may be a bit more expensive than in Houston but not $600,000 per lot!!!! It just shows you how in some states and some builders completely try to rip you off while others try to make a buck but in a more affordable way for everybody

One story, that's the ticket. Forget any two story, they are ridiculous, and have too much unused space. They are expensive to heat and cool, unless they use in construction the ZIP System®sheathing and tape the seams, then foam in all the exterior walls, including the roof deck, and contract with an excellent stucco contractor for the exterior. If not, fugetaboutit. It's all for show, what Perry used to tell me about Kingwood homes when we looked at them in the late 80s. "Light, Bright and Airy" was the sales pitch. The homes had single pane windows (tons of them), which is easier for construction and were not energy efficient, even in the 80s. They made double pane windows in the 90s; however the builders used the cheapest windows they could buy commercially. In addition, all those single pane windows cause you (the home buyer) to spend tons of money covering them with expensive shades, drapes/sheers, or super expensive shutters.

I lived in Houston for 64 years. Born and raised in Houston I had to leave because the town has turned into a death trap. Crime runs rampant and the illegals are shipped in daily. I'm a TRUE TEXAN but Houston has gotten out of hand with all the democratic ways that it is being run. If you do move there, ALWAYS carry a firearm. Good luck!

hmm. 10 years before you got into a luxury home? I'm going to rent and my first home will be my last home. In 3 years I can probably afford a home like this on a single income; instead of those shitty $250k KB Homes where there's no room to park because all the neighbors have 10 trucks.
