Thanks for this information! I live it Fort Worth but thanks to you now I know where to go in Houston!

Juliet is the only restaurant on this list that I recommend. To be fair, I have not visited the BBQ restaurant. For me, service is equally important as the food, and with the exception of Juliet, service rendered at the other establishments was below average to poor. If quality service doesn't pose a problem for you, then by all means try the others.

@kirknealy722 You probably just have some bad experiences. But in Houston. If those restaurants had bad service, they wouldn't be in business long. I know that some of these restaurants don't have poor service at all. So I'm not sure why your experiences weren't well.

Just to let you all know the Northside of Houston has good soul food restaurants as well. Its not just the south side.
@Htown_G-code_7132 ай бұрын
@@bhayes680 srry but the north side isn’t a tourist destination like the southside so I doubt anyone would come over there jus for the food alone w/o havin a real reason🤷🏽♂️

I kind of wonder where they draw the line on soul food..😮
@delorbb22984 ай бұрын
Boo, this is soul food. The fact that it’s been co-opted by others doesn’t change that fact. BTW, the (black) creole people in Louisiana came to Houston generations ago and mixed with the black people in Houston. It’s soul food. That’s why the food is so good here.
@delorbb22984 ай бұрын
Girl you need to learn how to pronounce the food. Jesus but this was bad. And Taste isn’t at 20 Main Street. 20 Main is probably in the bayou.
