I am so sad! I just learned that she passed on. I've loved her ever since I was a kid, watching her on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' and 'Rhoda'. And such great advice here, for anyone and everyone. She always did strike me as being a very down to earth person.

I remember her show, growing up. Now, I am ashamed to say I have taken so many good people for granted in my lifetime. This woman seems like a wonderful person. I hope her transition from this life to the next is gentle. She is so very lucky to have the loving support of her husband. It is going to be tough on those who love her. She truly seems like a real gem. God love her and bless her for bringing us joy and laughs throughout her life.:)

Valerie is still with us more than 5 years after her cancer diagnosis! She has said that we all need to live our life when we are alive and not just wait for the funeral! I hope that she is still doing well! She seem like a very nice, kind and positive lady! She is loved!

...I've seen nearly two dozen Valerie Harper interviews....most on youtube over the past @2 years....this one seems to be the best...coves both TV and Valerie's theater career. i'd love to learn more about her TV movies...she did at least half a dozen....saw several when they aired.

As a child here in the UK are used to watch Rhoda and everytime it came on my parents would send me to bed which at the time I'm really upset me I would stomp upstairs in a right mood because I absolutely loved watching Valerie Harper and Julie kavner who played her sister Valerie Harper will be sorely missed by lots of people such a beautiful woman who entertained so many people

I was lucky, I used to watch Rhoda with my mum 🙏 every week, we loved it & I still do, takes me back to lovely times. People analyse that show in comments & how things were, no need for that, just celebrate the fun & laughter when the ones you loved were still around. Miss you Valerie, love you💕🌈

What a thoughtful, classy lady. The interviewer's excellent questions seemed to be a catalyst for Miss Harper to synthesise her memories and her experiences, and the result is an entertaining and instructive conversation.

Such a natural performer. Rhoda, for her, was only an extension of herself. She rocked it! And tell me the main reason people tuned in to the MTM show, was for MTM! Rhoda was the primary reason I, for one, tuned in. Not to undermine Mary, whatsoever, she was wonderful as well. She fought her cancer bravely. RIP, VALERIE AND MARY.

I never watch much TV. So I really didn't know much about what Valerie Harper did. I knew she was on TV, however. But I attended a health fair back in the 70s in Pasadena. Valerie Harper was at one of the booths promoting something. I don't remember what it was. But I was STUNNED at how attractive I thought Valerie Harper was. I mean a real head turner. R.I.P.
