yes, you absolutely can, since it's a back up, just flash the userdata.img file alone or the whole file you back up.

as soon as it starts says DRAM Size 0x40000000 (1024MB/8192MB) process seems like it takes forever is the dram size what i need for the full readback? if so do i just enter the same way you have in the video?

doesn't work as when you reload scatter file and go to do the memory test, only the dram test options are available for the mt6765 oukitel k12 phone, so unable to fulfill the instructions as unable to do ram test.

This method has worked great on all of my devices except one. I have a mt6737m device, tried many times to do a full read back and fails at 54%. Tried using different versions of sp flashtool, different USB cables, removed and reinstalled drivers. I have now got stock firmware from manufacturer, but wondered why it was failing at 54%?

The total firmware size was probably too large so SP flash tool timed out before the process could complete. I suspect between /system and /userdata

Hovatek Thank you, you are right, I went back to the partial ROM_2 file sp flashtool created , and processed it with WwR_MTK and the userdata was missing, so sp flashtool could not handle the size of the ROM.

in my case it is always showing ERROR:S_FT_REAFBACK_FAIL(4009) readback from flash fail! Please press cntrl +alt+ T turn on debug log then reproduce again! I backed up using this method then tried to flash it back as a test. The screen is all screwy as if it has a dead video chip. I can confirm that the hardware is fine.

Recent Mediatek devices don't play too nice with backups, especially when you flash a full backup. Stick to signed firmware instead

It should still work but I don't think the backup of a bricked phone would do you much good. Unless you just want to keep it in case. What you need is a firmware / stock rom for your model

some mediatek chipsets are essentially the same hardware so you might see one thing on the specs and another in the scatter file when the phone is readback
