I played OG 2d PoP but Sands of Time alongside Splinter Cell was in my opinion Ubisofts best work and many, many years ahead of its time
@GameStudioLore7 ай бұрын
yes! Pop and SC are insane games. Im still upset about the treatment of Splinter Cell. There is no reason that franchise shouldn't have a new game

I've just discovered your channel through a recommended video about Fable. Top quality stuff, gonna watch more, that's for sure.

Great documentary, dude. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was so cool when it first came out, it's interesting to learn the story behind it.

I came to say the same. Less than 1k views? This content is top. Keep going, this is the content we need, youtube will remember that sooner or later...

I have such a respect for the original Prince of Ppersia. I was a little young to play back then (I was born in 1992) But Prince os Persia plataform and movement style inspired my favorite game Ever: Tomb Raider. Without it, Tomb Raider probably wont exist, and if it did, would be a lot different than the game we have and love so much

Same, I was born in 89, and I don't think I remember ever seeing the OG PoP. But yeah without PoP, I have no idea where TR would have gotten their movement inspiration from. They might would have had to invent it I guess, cuz off the top of my head right now, I dont think any other game had the movement of PoP. Thanks for watching!

32:03 RIP Sand Tigers idea for the Zoo, that part would have been nuts to reach in SoT hahaha. And as for the Gryphon, while it was scrapped here they did eventually bring it back as a Boss encounter in Warrior Within and the idea of "multiple encounters until you get a Sword strong enough to kill it" was moved over to the Dahaka in that game instead.

I watch plenty of video game development lore at work. Words can’t explain the enjoyment I get from really figuring out the specifics and reasons behind major games that I played as a child. This videos really fill in the gaps about gaming development that I never knew I’d hear the backstory about. This videos are golden and the viewer count saddens me, really wish there was something I could do to get these videos out to the masses because there’s too many videos out there with more views that aren’t half as detailed and compelling as yours.

Aye I appreciate that! Sometimes videos are slow goers. I tested many titles, cuz I think the thumbnail is good enough. But sometimes it just takes a bit. Thank you for the kind words
