@@Esp-go1el Yeah im also shocked by that. Not sure If I believe it. Im pretty sure thats goes against some maritimes laws, to not rescue someone. And even if it wasnt illegal, im sure a cargo ship would have the decency to stop to get him. Maybe he was halucinating them waving to him, or he's just making it up.

He was probably thinking how silly people's problems actually are. Like, he was in pure survival mode, and those people were more worried about getting some cash to cope with the loss of their familymember than actual problems. I don't think he would've minded it that much, because it's so much more superficial than the last year he spent on sea.

7/10 Interesting. An attempt at creativity that doesn't completely fall flat. Here, you're not trying to be funny. You probably just wrote the first thing that came into your mind, but it ends up being like flavor text for the video. Sometimes, your best comments aren't the jokes. EDIT: Apparently, it's a Jojo's reference. However, I ain't changing my score. It's a well-done Jojo's reference, one I haven't heard to death before. @Sylberin I'm not saying every human is trash I exaggerated it becuase even if your not a trash person every human contributes to somthing bad, whether it be driving a car and putting gases into the atmosphere or straight up murder. And I know we cant help these things (yes, some people have disorders that make them not able to stop murdering people) because they are common these days but that doesnt means your a bad person. FOR THOSE WONDERING WHY HE GOT SUED. A few weeks after that, he made the trip back to Mexico to talk to the Córdoba family and to tell them the story of what had happened to their son. He was accompanied by his attorney, Benedicto Perlera, whom he had known since he was a child. Alvarenga and Perlera had a huge argument on the journey, and Perlera now represents the Córdoba family. Alvarenga signed a book deal, but chose to use a different lawyer in setting it up. Shortly after signing the deal, Perlera sued him for $1 million for breach of contract because he had replaced Perlera with another law firm, according to an NBC report. The attorney also provided support for the Córdoba family’s claim that their son did not die the way Alvarenga described it. They suggested that Alvarenga had eaten his companion’s body rather than throwing it overboard, and this was the basis for a second $1 million legal action against the unfortunate Alvarenga. The family believe they should be entitled to a share of royalties made from the book. - Yup, his old butthurt gold digging asshole attorney is the reason why he got sued.

In World War 2, a German sub was sunk but some of the sailors including one woman managed to get into a life raft and survived. They had no provisions so the only nourishment the sailors could get was from the woman, who was producing milk. They lived off of her for some days before they were all rescued. There was actually a movie that was made about it. It was called "Das Boob".

Honestly the best video on this channel. The editing and visuals are spot-on and the story being told is nothing short of incredible. Even the music choice sets the castaway and bittersweet tone perfectly (if anyone's curious, the song is called "The Barriers Between Us" by Eoin Mantell.) Alvarenga's journey was unimaginably strenuous, and I can't fathom how much mental tenacity it took for him to see this hellish voyage through. Top notch, RLL, for shouting him out.

@AlexNOSAM killing another grown man would be extremely difficult on a boat.. especially if they were both extremely hungry and weak. Also advantage usally goes to the one bieng attacked since flight or flight reflex realses alot of adrenaline to help fight or run. So if he did kill him perhaps.. 1. The guy was already really sick and dying and couldnt put up a fight. Which case he was dead anyway. 2. The other guy attacked him first and the survial part of his brain gave him enough strength to overpower his attacker and kill him. Since they were both really weak. Or 3. More than likely the guy did die from being at sea for so long. Obviously after a couple of months most people would rather succumb to death rather than live in an ocean hell starving and bieng in constant pain from the sun and no water.
