FOR THOSE WONDERING WHY HE GOT SUED. A few weeks after that, he made the trip back to Mexico to talk to the Córdoba family and to tell them the story of what had happened to their son. He was accompanied by his attorney, Benedicto Perlera, whom he had known since he was a child. Alvarenga and Perlera had a huge argument on the journey, and Perlera now represents the Córdoba family. Alvarenga signed a book deal, but chose to use a different lawyer in setting it up. Shortly after signing the deal, Perlera sued him for $1 million for breach of contract because he had replaced Perlera with another law firm, according to an NBC report. The attorney also provided support for the Córdoba family’s claim that their son did not die the way Alvarenga described it. They suggested that Alvarenga had eaten his companion’s body rather than throwing it overboard, and this was the basis for a second $1 million legal action against the unfortunate Alvarenga. The family believe they should be entitled to a share of royalties made from the book. - Yup, his old butthurt gold digging asshole attorney is the reason why he got sued.

@geogutierrez66715 жыл бұрын
There's literally no evidence whatsoever that he ate anyone at sea. The parents likely were just as crazy as their suicidal son when they made that assumption. I can envision them whisper yelling: "What if! What if! What if... our son... is beiing eaten! Oh no-no-no, what if..." while their bloodshot eyes cook from dehydration. It's actually really petty.

@AlexNOSAM killing another grown man would be extremely difficult on a boat.. especially if they were both extremely hungry and weak. Also advantage usally goes to the one bieng attacked since flight or flight reflex realses alot of adrenaline to help fight or run. So if he did kill him perhaps.. 1. The guy was already really sick and dying and couldnt put up a fight. Which case he was dead anyway. 2. The other guy attacked him first and the survial part of his brain gave him enough strength to overpower his attacker and kill him. Since they were both really weak. Or 3. More than likely the guy did die from being at sea for so long. Obviously after a couple of months most people would rather succumb to death rather than live in an ocean hell starving and bieng in constant pain from the sun and no water.
