@@saintrhoads3375 Yeah sure fundamentally different in that they threw all the fundamentals out the window and then they got hit by a semi in order to make everything flashy and extremely hard, trying to live up to expectations of fans and the legacy of the series. And then failed desperately, they did everything DS2 did wrong worse by an exorbitant amount. Reused enemies, bad enemies, horrible gank fights and bosses, too many enemies in certain spaces, over usage of delayed attacks, undodgeable attacks/combos, completely unviable play styles, completely broken play styles, saturation of weapons, horrible cheap balancing on enemy health and damage, one hit KOs, etc. This games biggest flaw is its ambition and it initial split development team with Sekiro. All the open world environments, exploration, story, quest lines, music, etc. That shits all mostly S tier, which is why I assume most people look over the combat despite just being dick riders. Took a few months break to play AC Valhalla after Gasgoigne and Central Yharnam in general kicked my ass, came back and…beat every boss up until Rom on my first try (other than Cleric Beast, who I faced the day I came back to it and got too greedy, beating it second try), somehow. Once I reached Yahar’gul and beyond…it’s been a different story, but the game ‘clicked’ early and has been just the perfect experience: very challenging, sometimes frustrating but overall incredibly fun and not too devastatingly hard (because of the fact that the combat is usually completely fair - if you died, it was your fault entirely). However, I know it doesn’t ‘click’ for a lot of people (especially veterans of the slower souls games) anywhere near as quickly, and know from experience just how challenging that can be. Facing bosses with 3 blood vials left after sprinting through the area you’re supposed to farm them in is an interesting (and frustrating) yet, on reflection, brilliant experience nigh unique to Bloodborne. This is what a boss should looks like, you die because you become to greedy, not because you choose wrong equipment, playin it solo, or its not good RNG time yet

Or constantly spamming AOEs that take up the entire boss arena or trying to see through a mist of visual clutter while a stream of projectiles bombard your ass aim bot style.

After so many hours you learn that the secrets to fighting the boss is acting like the boss yourself. Stay up In their faces, circle Around them for everything they do. Once you start giving souls enemies space they start using their cheese abilities.

I found only 2 difficult bosses in Elden Ring: Malenia and Mog. I played without being called up, as I've been through other souls games a lot. Your first experience is always the most difficult, regardless of the game you start with (except maybe Sekiro.)
