Typically they replace editions every 3 years which would be next summer. A lot of people think it will be a “soft reset” where the rules are similar and the teams stay the same, but they just update a few things

I’m personally hoping they revamp the narrative rules. It’s been great but could do with a substantial tweak.

Thanks! I’m giving 10th ed a real chance. The weird part is my local friends only really play Kill Team and we are very casual (as you know already). But I’ll only be able to play 10th ed at tournaments, so it will be purely competitive.

I’m guessing most people will still play at 2000 points. But it sounds like GW is pushing 500 points as an entry point.

@@GSIron It basically was. But most people agreed that the 500 point games just didn't work that well. The hope is that they drastically improve it during 10th edition.

No psychic phase? My Craftworld... Jokes aside maybe as you said 40k will be less of a beer and pretzel came and more interactive. I was just trying to get into Kill Team but if 10th can have enjoyable small games I'm interested. I came from 3rd to 4th edition so 8th and 9th felt really streamlined but bloated in a sense. Scatter dice and templates when 🥹

I still think a majority of people will play at 2000. But if the smaller games are more balanced it’d be a great way to get some quick matches in. I absolutely love Kill Team but sometimes you do want to play with the bigger models
