For some reason mine did not come out highlighter lemon yellow like the color of the cap. More like a normal bright canary yellow. I test sprayed all 3 cans I had on different white bases. Must be a manufacturing flaw to where they cheapened out on the flourescent additive 🤷♂️. Not sure about the other colors.
@89GTFoxDude7 ай бұрын
@@arnoldrodriguez6300 It also comes out dry, flat, chalky, and cracking even though I shaked the can for a good 1-2 mins.

Ended up doing this on my 2015 Subaru WRX. Only difference is that I used VHT grey primer since I couldn't find white. Still turned out the same, looks great. 3 coats of primer, 4 coats of fluro yellow, 1 coat of gloss clear. Only bought 1 can of each and still have plenty left of everything. FYI this is time consuming, so be prepared and set it up right. Its well worth the effort in the end. Thanks for the share.

Does this paint look more yellow in person? I purchased the same exact paint as you, but on my piece it looks light bright Yellow, where as yours looks like a tennis ball yellow (has a slight green tint to it). I want the tennis ball yellow color you have but mine is pure yellow.

@@ToledoDIY Yessir I used a white primer. I'm not sure why it's coming out yellow and not flourocent. I even got a 2nd can of the Fluorescent yellow thinking maybe I got a defective can but the 2nd can sprays normal yellow too.... Just to confirm, your primer was white and not a light gray correct?

@@JustinKeithD Let me know your outcome. I purchased 6 cans at the same time from Lowes and all 6 came out as normal yellow, not hi-viz (even with a white base coat). I contacted Krylon and they gave me my money back (had to provide a receipt). But they did not confirm or deny the color is supposed to be hi-viz, they weren't very informative lol. If it matters, the batch code on the bottom of my cans are K03104888 HL3002VB FC 1.30/EPA 1.75. Is yours the same by chance? Maybe we got a defective batch. They told me these cans are made in 10,000 can batches so chance are maybe we got the same batch.

@@TheDeltaFlight yeah I sprayed two separate cans and they came out just a brighter yellow. I threw my receipt away recently as I thought they'd be fine. I have the same batch code on mine as well.

Nice Job and I admire all your time and effort , but why would you not just take the calipers off and do them or get them powder coated , save all that time masking off the car , it very easy to bleed the brakes and in the end you have a better result if the car is going to be a keeper .

Bro I wanted this color originally, I have all the products from VHT except I got yellow caliper paint. Is this holding up well and did you have to drive aggressively for curing it? Originally I didn’t wanna use a paint that wasn’t for caliper but it’s irrelevant if you have the primer and clear coat caliper sprays.

My man! This color!😍 I recommend! I’ve driven my car hard for over 1k miles and nothing’s wrong with the paint! I immediately drove on it same day and nothing happened It really doesn’t matter aslong as u have the primer and clear high temp! You can use any color!

My friend I have another question .. that spray is not heat resistant. paint has not peeled yet ? It look very nice on your car I am going to paint the same color to my calipers. Thank you !
@oseanavinlano4 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. I didn’t see anything stating the fluorescent yellow paint was heat resistant, any reason for this? Seems if you were to get the brakes very hot it could modify the chemical properties of the paint (looked like everything else was heat resistant).
