I loved the garden tour. You guys love Tomato's like I do so it is fun to actually see the plants and Tomato's you are growing. Thanks for taking the time to share this.

That's a great tour! It would be so fun to grow that many different types! I just have 3 cherry tomato plants this year, but we will still have some to give away to friends. I've got Sun Gold and Sun Orange, which I wanted to compare side by side. The flavor seems too close to tell apart, but the Sun Orange are bigger and seem like the winner so far I have had Sun Peach on my list to try but I have not tried it yet. My third for this year is an unknown red cherry that we have saved seed for quite a few years now. I think next year I will replace it with a different red or pink one. I have grown Black Cherry and Black Strawberry before and they were pretty good!

Sun orange sounds fun, I haven’t tried that one yet. I took the cherry tomatoes to my family for taste testing over the 4th and Sunpeach did very well.

Hi! Since you love pink tomatoes: I’m not sure why I’ve not heard anyone mention “Pinky cherry” before, which I purchased from Uprising seeds. I got it as part of a cherry sampler pack for fun, and I adore adore everything about it. It is very resistant to cracking in the 3 years I’ve grown it, and it has this very unique “shiny” skin texture (not sure how to describe it) which I’ve never seen on other tomatoes. It also stays good on the vine for a while. If you trial other tomatoes next year, I’d suggest to add that one to your list if have space on it 😅

I looked it up and it looks like it’s a great one! I will find space to try it next year. There’s always room for one more 😁Thanks for the recommendation!

Try drying the current tomatoes. I use them in corn bread and salads, and put them in Italian cuisine.

That’s a good idea!

Thank you for sharing! I was given some yellow pear cherry tomato seeds. I haven't seen any production yet but pretty soon. I don't know what they taste like. How do you make your amazing signs?

Thanks! Here’s how I make the labels. They hold up really well. I used the Avery templates online to print the names of each variety onto 2x4” shipping labels. I printed 2 labels for each variety. I put a label on each side of a 3x5 card and then laminated the cards. When I cut them out I left a little margin so that there is a sealed border all around so they stay waterproof. I used packing tape to affix the laminated cards to bamboo stakes that I had in the back yard. Having all of the labels with the same font and design makes them really easy to find and read. We have hundreds of varieties of peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers etc. and this is the first year I’ve been able to really keep everything straight! Hopefully I’ll be able to reuse them for awhile. They are holding up great. 👍
