As a sim only player, I can't believe they released the Eurofighter without a target designator box in the HUD, around a locked radar. It's ridiculous! They did the same with the Tornado F3, and it took them a year and a half to finally add it!

The eurofighter is always plòaying with red tho, so this is a GREAT thing for sim. Many people have germany at top tier, unlike china, for example. I havent played top tier yet, but the fact that some typhoons are always going to be on red team is a great thing for the game.

Adding new aircraft cannot fix the problems with EC and red/blue balance. Only much larger maps, more AI that can actually engage players, and ground and sea based SPAA/SAMs can equal the playing field. Play Nuclear Option and you’ll see what Enduring Confrontation in War Thunder could be if they gave a shit.

How do you feel about tank assault adding the ability to use aircraft there? I use assault for tanks and helicopters to get parts, dart, and fpe. Plus free 300-500 booster.

Problem lies in people chasing top tier and thinking it is "THE GAME". Where looking at history of WT top tier never was balanced and never will be (unless Gajin run out of vehicles at the top to add). It was the case when it was Sabers vs Migs, Leos vs T-10, F4 vs Mig-21 and so on. Now those tiers are somewhat balanced because they got fleshed out and they are no longer top tier. Give it 2-5 years and current top tier will be playable for all nations.

Well, they’re going to add the Su-30SM (with R-77-1’s most likely) that has an actual radar and insane nose authority in DF (way better than the Su-27) that will justify the speed losses so I personally think that it will be a pretty competitive thing (unless they add AIM-120C-5’s/Meteors and 9X’s/MICA IR’s/IRIS T’s at the same time, in this case the Su-30SM will suck even more than the Su-27S/SM rn🙃)

My current problem is how fast teams just quit. I’m holding a 4KD in the Rafael at the moment and I beat most typhoons I run into. But if I play blue side everyone but the German typhoons leave quick and if I play red side the US mains do the same. It’s still a lot of fun outside of all the typhoons who won’t DF and purely run away.

German EF cockpit is bugged the rwr screen doesnt work, for me thats important because that screen gives more useful info then the rwr on the ingame hud. Because it has the radar search cone there allowing you to point the radar where the contact would be plus shows the what scan you have set.

My biggest interest with War Thunder is WW2 and Cold War, as soon as we enter post Cold War my interest plummets like a stone. The game really needs a tag system to ensure Nations end up attached to the correct alliance (IE. East Germany and West Germany). There are also massive gaps in the vehicle trees of many nations. If they were to implement a tag system for vehicles they could potentially have more era appropriate missions too such as early, mid and late WW2 or Korean War or Vietnam etc.

I played two Ec Yesterday, with 2000-5 f, red side. 2 easy win. 3 to 7 k/d... Around 10 typhoons killed. All 2000-5 as higher kill score than typhoons and rafales. So nothing to conclude just one day after update release.

First the sim AB was "broken" by Gripen ... then by J-10 ... now people complain by EF2000. Honestly man, this is sim (well, lite when we compare to things like BMS and DCS). If you do not want that all airframes have the same flight model, just different visual model, we will never have fully balanced sim. And we should stop expecting such.

There is no good tactic of wining against ef2k in Su27. Only luck. Su30sm might bring some balance into the game, but gaijin is VERY BAD at making flanker flight models, so its likely to end up with shitty flight model, but with thrust vectoring. Just buff flanker flight models. Those are tuned at 1982 manual on T-10s prototype that was far from final product (su27s and so on)

The J-10A holds its own so the J-10B with the new engine and AESA radar should be more than a match. The J-11B with Chinese Radar and missles i think will be the same. For the Russians you can add an SU-30SM that has thrust vectoring, PESA radar and R-77-1s. Maybe a MiG-35 as well. Honestly the SU-30 could help fill out other tech trees, SU-30 MKK for china, SU-30 MKI for britain SU-30 MKM for Japan maybe. However the J-15T, The J-10C the SU-35 and especially the J-16 shouldn't be added yet. R-74s and PL-15s would break the game. R-77ms would be fine but should probably come with AMRAAM-C

R-77M should only come with 120D not C, IRL 77M unironically outranges 120D, but it's used very little if at all, 37M is used in most cases nowadays because the importance is to not make sure the enemy fighter/strike aircraft are unable to do their job, R-37M does just that, forcing the jet to abort completely

I don´t think it will make red side weaker. Many players will now swarm to top tier germany, GB, france and italy, so the 4.5s should be quite evenly distributed. Of course russia will become even more meaningless, as their jets are not competitive at the moment.

One interesting pro I have seen in sim as a USSR player, on average because we have multiple disadvantages. USSR players (IN SIM ONLY) tend to be smarter because they are forced into a less-than-ideal playstyle/situations, but they do have more missiles (if they dare play 27SM) so they can in theory pressure them more

Gaijin NEEDS to give in to the arcade aspect of the game and make the r77 and any other underperforming missile the same flight characteristics as the aim 120.
