Is it hard to maintain? How often do you change the 48v battery?

Hi, wonderful tute. Besides powering the auxiliary components, I'm hoping that a 48V BISG with say, 4kgm torque, will also be able to power a car indipendently during stalling speeds. Whereby eliminating the need for a torque converter from the drivetrain. Thus allowing the ICE to be paired directly to a CVT. My question to you, Sir is, will a BISG still require a flywheel/flexiplate? Torque pulses you know can be ironed out electronically by programming dead zones in throttle response.

Hey... This video was really helpful and you are doing great job...but I am unable to understand the difference between ISG and belt driven starter generator.... Can you pls tell us more on BSG.

BISG look like your alternator and drive using belt. You will get this system in mg hector and Maruti Breeza. But ISG is placed between engine flywheel and transmission. For better video I have added pictures in chapter 1-2-3 you can have a look there.

U dont call it balancing shaft u mentionedon 48 volt configuration. Its called crankshaft. Yes, crank is visible outside but without damper. No belts watsoever or atleast for only one thing. I jave worked on fully equipped hybrid cars. Starter, alternator/generator or motor all one. AC compresor is also driven by a built in motor as a seperate lil unit so is water pump n depends on Make n Model. So, no belts needed for anything.
