Yo I don't know if the video creator would or narrator would see this comment but I have been thinking about optics and photonics as like something to pursue career wise education wise nonetheless.. for the better insight for when it comes around the actual development of an actual photonic computer just throwing that out there I don't even don't even have the right folks to talk to you at the moment I suppose

How does the operating system know that there are multiple cores in a computer ? Also how can the operating system select different ones for different applications. I have seen this pretty much happening in windows where the programmer has the ability to select the core for an application ?? It would be very thankful if you could clear my doubts sir

HyperThreading and Multithreading are not the same thing (HyperThreading is a CPU design technique to allow a core to run as two threads instead of one, Multithreading is running multiple threads at once in general)

The 1Instruction/1Clock Cycle is based on the assumption that the instructions as we go down require less clock cycles which is untrue. Multiplication requires more than Fetching. If we choose 5 clock cycles for each instruction, we are going to get 5 instructions done in 9 seconds. General Formula would be 4+n seconds for n instructions. It gives us 9/5 = 1.8 or generally 4+n/n = (1+4/n) instructions/clock cycle.

could be done a CPU that instead of adding instructions one by one would use multiplication, or area calculation of geometric shapes, or derivatives or integrals on an axis of numbers that adds computing power?

Technically it's possible and binary multipliers are implemented sometimes but depends on the implementation it's a huge waste of energy to make specific circuit for each type of mathematical operation and also the cpu will over heat way faster which make it slower or damage the transistors.

OK, but, how do the electrons know which gates to go through, and if they only have to go through some gates, how do they miss/jump the rest of them? The instruction might only need to go through a classic (and very simple) IF, AND, OR, ELSE command/instruction set, so, that's 4 gates, yes? So how do the electrons get to the other side of the chip/CPU without going through any more gates (the remaining 10 Billion gates), and how does the CPU know if the electrons even went through the right gates? I'm still looking for a video that explains this, it keeps me up at night. Everything is conscious, is the only answer that explains it for me... TJ
