This is exactly what I am going through!! I graduated with my BA and I wanted to take a gap year before my Masters to study Arabic. The difference is that I did not have family support for a full time program, so I started online courses. This is the exact video I needed!!

For structured progress, I believe it's important to have a teacher who guides and supports us throughout this long journey (especially for the Nahw and Sarf part), because without structure, we stagnate and might fall into procrastination. During free time, it's essential to learn a lot of vocabulary, watch videos in Arabic even if we don't understand everything, and of course, practicing conversation with a more advanced partner who shares the same goal is crucial.

Really glad that I prioritised this video, a beautiful end to a long day. Learnt many new things! Alhamdulillah. Key personal focus points from this video (please do add on if I missed anything!) - It's all about the foundation. ان مل اعمال بنيه, and then enjoying the process, through much trial and error (always ongoing works in progress lol) until we reach our final destination + surrounding yourself with positive and conducive influences + making it a "need" and not just a want. Also, a dua to add, may our Rabb help us all balance between intensity and consistency in our learning and play the long game آميين. May He also envelop your life in barakah, for your generosity in sharing your journey and principles with us, including the entire process, with all its ups, downs and in betweens. Keep inspiring! And as for the conclusion, Ameen to reviving the golden era of those gems of scholars! PS: Ibn Al Qayyim rahimullah is a particular favourite of mine and I'd love to see more related content if it is destined, ان شاءالله. 🍃 جزاك الله خير اخي

My brother..Baarak Allah feekum...what about learning بلاغة.. people just concentrate on sarf and nahw for understanding the Quran...when balagha is most important...the enemies of islam too learn sarf and nahw and then point out and say there are grammatical mistakes in the quran...and try to lead others astray...but those who study balagha know exactly what those words mean..if only the enemies learned balagha they would except islam...please do learn balagha..its a very important science in the study of tbe Quran

For pointing this out جزاك الله خيرا كثيرا , You are 100% correct! Without balagha, many orientalists try to find mistakes in the Qur’an with just their understanding of Nahw and sarf which isn’t sufficient to say the least. However, I by no means have completed my journey of studying the vast ocean of the Arabic language. This is still the very beginning. And Balagha remains a science I am looking forward to delving into more in the near future in sha allah.
