Not just Korean, my oldest brothers wife suggested one Sunday while we were having dinner at her house that “Why don’t we each take out insurance on each other?” I have not eaten at her house or eaten anything that she has cooked since. Always thought she was shady but was not going to find out just how shady the hard way.

I love when you cover true crime stories and how you shed light on common Korean practices or opinions on how things go or should go. I love the insightful nuggets that you drop along the way while telling the story. Now onto the toner. Are you talking about the Amorepacific Botanical Soothing Toner? Or the Time Response Skin Reserve Face Serum Toner? And you never lied. These 2 items are a pretty penny. And dime. Korean products are another topic that I enjoy your insight on. Honestly. Anything you're willing to share, I am here for it. 💕

The one that I've used for years is the Luminous Effect Brightening Toner. It's the only one I stand by and I would have to check to see if it's only available at a Korean department store counter, if at all anymore. I would bet the others are improved formulations but I would want to try a sample first.

I love your honest and very informative skincare product reviews ❤ Maybe if you can i would love to know more about fake Korean skincare products like Hera or Sulwhasoo which are being copied and made in China. As someone who does not live in Korea, i do not know how i should distinguish if it is the real Korean product or not. I heard even on Coupang there are many fake products. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback! It's really hard and there is a risk when ordering online. Cosmetics companies say the only way to be sure is to buy from a trustworthy vendor - like a department store, official retail outlet or makeup retailer (Sephora, etc.). That's why duty free in Korea is so popular.

How can anyone take out an insurance policy on another person? Where I live you wouldn't be able to do that even if was your husband, wife or family member it's illegal and the insurance company wouldn't even entertain such a proposal as it's Against the Law.

It looks like South Korea has got a lot of InHouse Training/Going Back to Basics to do within their Law Enforcement ....and Government I feel this lack of investigations has got to do with political pressure....and all those that invest/fund both Govt. and the Law Enforcement.....you're still going to have a lot of cases hushed up until everyone says that this behavior has to stop ✋️ . .....the people of Korea need to take to the streets and protest to highlight these malpractices
