Tell about how the bats were made in jeffersonville indiana 100 yards from clarksville 2 miles from louisville till just a few years ago & then the city of Louisville granted the building were the factory & HUGE bat now sits.. I toured the factory in the early 70s in Jeff.

Only 15% of MLB players use slugger. They have been going downhill ever since John Hillerich IV took over in 2000/2001 from his Father. Only reason company is still in business is because of the museum. Even the museum has gone downhill since Covid hit in 2020. The museum got rid of some amazing employees and tour guides and now all the tour is is videos and guides that are not knowledgeable

They had to go from ash to maple, because the Emerald Ash Borer (another gift from China) is is the process of destroying every ash tree in North America.

they went to maple before the Ash borer issue. Barry Bonds got the maple popular in 2000

@@nahor88 only about 12% of MLB players still use them. The ash bats are ok, maple are awful
