Im a huge topson fan, but LGD didnt pick or focus on him during TI8. Topson was humiliated by Somnus on the early laning on all those games, Lgd prolly thought they could just leave Topson, but Topson being so imaginative created tons of space for Ana to win them that series. Because more often than not, it doesn't work. That is how meta is made. From hundreds of games only those builds or comp that are reliable becomes the meta.
