Most of you KZbinr commentators just seat down in your parlour and complain about everything. Cant you just listen to the video and learn something for once instead of complaining. Most people I know that complain about other peoples successes generally never achieve anything in life. You see an entrepreneur doing big things and cashing out and you cant admire and learn something from it!!!....to be honest it just boils down to envy at the end of the day. Thank God I dont take people like you serious.

Everyone is smart we have successful black millionaires in South Africa, highest average black millionaires in Africa are found in South Africa; some in the financial sector leading the financial sector, others have ventured in the winery & spirit sector. Agro processing, construction. So everyone is smart . It is great if everyone puts efforts and built to help their countries economy. Don’t put your selves down

Many folks in Nigeria don't realise that there's so many "new age" entrepreneurs doing amazing things in Nigeria...some of us are still stuck in the mindset that everything from abroad is better. We don't realise that the so called abroad is already in Nigeria just waiting for the population to catch up ....Thank God Tayo is slowly bringing these wonderful projects to everybodys attention. Solid job all round.

Although true, but even with some of these entrepreneurs, the mindset is still there, just packaged differently. The issue that I have with some African entrepreneurs is they are too consumed with making money/prestige/status rather than solving a problem in the country. Making a money is a byproduct of a good business and not be the main motivator. There are people doing great things throughout African continent that is actually answering to a common need, being overshadowed by glitzy entrepreneurs, with get rich quick schemes on KZbin. In addition, people are not actually talking about how they did it, or who helped them to point people in positive direction but are giving empty inspirational speeches, that actually doesn't give people tangible advice.

@@livingfinance Totally agree with the points you make. A Chinese politician by the name of Deng Xiaoping decided sometime in the 1970s to open China up to the market economy based largely on the capitalist system of the west which in many ways, encourages excess,glitz and get rich schemes but he decided that China would do it differently in what he loosely referred to as Capitalism with Chinese characteristics which is essentially Capitalism that is governed by the interests of the common good. In the same vein, what Nigeria needs and will benefit from is Capitalism with Nigerian traditional characteristics(not mainstream Nigerian characteristics which is a sort of do or die affair)....but one based on tradition because when we consider our indigenous traditions and cultures, we are a people that look out for one another and are very community focused. Such form of Capitalism would transform Nigeria immensely.

You need to start doing short films as a part of your future plans, if at all that piques your interest. You could come up with content for it. @@olumuyiwaojo3532 Amen sir. I am also excited to see @Eneji Lawrence have such mindset. That's what we need. Yes Nigeria is poorly managed, and has its plethora of challenges but it's under construction. The challenge with some of us Nigerians is that we are quick to compare Nigeria with for example the United Kingdom wherein live, but we have not taken time to study their history(which dates hundreds of years fa)and how they also went through this phase in their development to what they are today. The fought wars like the the war to keep Scotland and Northern Ireland in the UK. The first and second world wars, etc. There was a time, in the UK that poverty was at its peak. In fact some of us don't know that there was a time in the UK after the second world war, children had to work 12hour shifts to earn a living for themselves and their families. Some could not afford 1 meal a day. But with determination and hard work from their fathers, things have changed today. And we are here also benefiting from the work and investments by their fathers (well that's debate for another day). The point is Nigeria is evolving and things are going to change whether we like it or not, but are we ready to position ourselves to be partakers and key players in the new Nigeria?🤔

This is the first time I'm excited about the Nigerian Real-Estate industry. Only two people in Nigeria give me hope Mr Olayinka Braimoh and Mr Remi Dada. I used to hate how we build, travel around Nigeria and you will see hugely unnecessarily expensive ugly mansions without any definition, stuff décoration with zero spacing and attention to natural light. But I can confidently tell you that we're watching history being made right under our nose. Just looking at the buildings you can tell that Mr Olayinka Braimoh is not just a perfectionist but a genius in his craft. The ideal concept of a true real estate industry is the cutting edge application and the emphasis on the final touch with uttermost priority to community gardens and nature parks. And Mr Olayinka epitomizes the spirit of the future of Nigeria, I hope we see the birth of many more.

@@mtdspfgh Yes, of course. I grew up in Abuja. The first time I went to Lagos, I could not help but notice that it was a city of contrasts everywhere. You have sky scrapers so close to slums. Extreme wealth and extreme poverty side by side. In Abuja it's not that stark. You can drive and see a longer stretches of areas where there is obvious opulence. In Lagos, you always get poor areas tucked in between beautiful blocks to mess that experience up. The gap between the rich and the poor is not that conspicuously reflected in houses.

If you can afford a property over £50k in Africa, then buying a solar energy system to the house is nothing. My dream is to start a solar& wind farm energy business in Nigeria or Ghana or invest in a company doing it.

This is an amazing development and congrats to the developer and the community because its places like this that add value to a neighbourhood. Love the pricing and variety in designs, built in HVAC units, smart home systems, I am so impressed and proud. Can't wait to see this complex when it's finished, I am sure the community amenities will be superb. Is this complex fully or partially powered by solar, I thought I noticed some solar panels at the edge of the property? I would like to see more units with more light, outdoor and indoor vegetation, and open concepts, let that African sunlight come through... Challenge to Africans, when will we begin to trade amongst ourselves, I think that some of the modern furniture in these units were manufactured in Nigeria. I would rather pay an African owned construction company to build future my infrastructure projects.

Jobs/opportunities/workforce training/education for low income individuals should come first, then the developers will build it because now the people would be able to afford it.
@Crob100
@Crob100 3 жыл бұрын
@@SiaLi- what's 'affordable ' where I live, 200k for a home is considered 'affordable '. Even though the majority of the ppl can't afford it. There are no profits in building 'affordable housing' that's why you don't see developers doing it there. They are in business to make a profit. They wouldn't do it in the US if the government didn't give incentives for developers to do it. The government needs to give incentives to developers to build affordable housing. Then it will happen. I would love to bring a program to Africa that's in the States, which is called Habitat for Humanity where the houses are built solely by volunteers and the owner of the home (sweat equity). The materials are donated and the non profit receives the magic word 'government funding' to do what they do.
@SiaLi-
@SiaLi- 3 жыл бұрын
@@Crob100 so to sum everything you said up: profits before people. lmao, the American way I guess. it is entirely possible to create affordable housing and make a profit from it so saying it isn't profitable is not an excuse.
