My doctor requested a lung specialist today. I've been having asthma problems. I already know it's bad but I need more assistance. I will figure out how to treat it better. I more likely will feel better when I get the right treatment. I was diagnosed with two types of asthma when I was nine years old. I took a two hour test and the doctor said it was bad but they could help me feel better. I had a nebulizer and inhaler with pills to help with the allergies causing some asthma attacks. I was able to be free from the treatments after I turned 20. Sadly I started getting sick when I turned 31. The stupid asthma never went away it ended up coming back worse. It's not getting better on it's own so I am seeking help. I also have seizures that can be caused by lack of oxygen. It more likely will help me deal with my seizures too. I am autistic so the test is going to be scary for me but I have great healthcare workers to help me with my anxiety. They are always reminding me to breath because I hold my breath too long when anxious. It's not good to hold your breath.

@@ohnoheb There is no doubt that gender is the most important predictor of pulmonary function. Other predictors, age and height may be a confounding factor. As a medical professional I know what I expect to hear. He did mention age and height, but somehow avoided gender. If it’s not on medical records that you don’t use inhalers or have asthma after 13 then you are good .
