Please think about the long term implications of the child being raised without knowledge of their mother. This can cause serious identity crises for older children, especially if they later find many half siblings. Humans have a hard wired need to know their origins, if egg donors are used, they must be non-anonymous for the sake of the child.

If your gay or lesbian really adopt or surrogate single so you do not have issues if you separate or divorce. I think if you surrogate and you use your sperms or eggs get someone you know and care to donate the other part don't get them from strangers in the long run Who knows what Dna you are getting and your child will want to know where the other half of their Dna came from.
