like you said around the 5:00 to 5:30 mark, the trends before and the data now are completely different stories. It's strange because Pokemon collecting was down in the mid 2010s so the price movements - as Opossum said in the stream - were driven by the players. Tapu Lele GX was a "hit", and now no one cares about it since its out of rotation. The group that came in during covid is filled to the brim with people who just simply didnt know Pokemon cards were valuable, and that includes investorbros who jump from any hobby to any hobby to make money. we may very well see this group dwindle again over the next 10 years, just as we did in the 2000s when people stopped collecting. Old product went up because of nostalgia, and new product fluctuates because of this increased demand of the group *now*. edit: ill also say that I am partial to the sentiment I described, as I've got a major collection now andnow I'm just really going after small, extra vintage things. I'm not really buying up anything SV and I already have enough SuMo/SwSh stuff that I want.

For sure! I’m bullish on the future but still try to challenge myself with the alternative viewpoint. And it’s so important to realize that before the last boom these prices weren’t anything to get excited about 😅 Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🙏

Hey man, subscribe your channel the day I saw you on OkJLUV’s live stream debate. Like and agree many things you said in the video, especially the part where a Pokemon investor must be financially established have a stable main source of income. Although I wouldn’t suggest viewers to rely on inflation to catch on capital investment to make their money back , just not the right approach for any investment. Yes, should their Pokémon investment tank in their holding period, initial cost would pull even when inflation rises, like anything and everything else. Though there’s the cost of time and loss of alternative investment opportunities. In contrary, inflation should be factored in the final ROI adjustment to reflect true profits. Just my 2 cents. Like your content and keep up the good work. I am 40 and a multi lane investor:) wish everyone success in their journey of investing.

Hey thanks so much for the comment and for the support 😊 I think you’ve made some great points here and certainly factoring in inflation is important when considering any investment opportunity 🥲

The premise was a bit disingenuous. JLuv trying to gaslight and talk down on other people's content that he doesn't like. It was great to see everyone hash out the misinformation and teach the haters about the subject they had no clue about that they were hating on. I enjoyed the stream and think JLuv did a good job of leading the reigns. Though, he definitely needs to work on keeping his emotions in check.

I’m not sure I agree that the intention of the stream was disingenuous but there were certainly some more emotional points throughout the chat. It’s difficult to keep emotions in check when talking about this kind of stuff unfortunately 😅 Thanks for the comment!!
