@@bergbergdk yes, Sleth is probably taller... I think that situation about jawline depends on genetics a lot. I know people that mouth breathe and eat processed food and have really nice jawline.

Start slow, light, stretch and learn correct form. Also, depending on your health/fitness start with whole body exercises-push ups, burpees, walking and incorporate dumbbells just to get you ready, prepare your body/mind for the next step in having a workout routine. Don’t compare yourself to others, don’t overdo it, avoid injuries and just remain consistent. Just some quick notes from a Combat Veteran who’s worked out most of my adult life for work in between the injuries. Take care and good luck on your journey- just be consistent and you’ll get there.

Hey, big tip here that often gets forgotten about, cos it's not gonna gain muscle, is to do a full stretch out of every muscle you worked (idealy both before lifting, after warm up for 5-7 seconds for aiding mobility and range of motion during the workout, and after lifting for the full time of like 30 seconds for mobility and aiding in muscle relaxation and repair outside of the workout). It might seem trivial, but it can avoid you a TON of mobility and joint issues later on down the line if you are just lifting and not doing any stretching. So many people skip it, but they are the ones who are all suffering from muscle stiffness and mobility issues in old age, it only takes like 10 mins total and helps recovery so much too (if you don't wanna do both the ones after lifting are most important)!

Actually, stretching before strength or power movements reduces de output capacity of the fibers. For longevity and mobility you should do strength training in the full ROM. Stretching muscles after lifting heavy is over rated but still adviced of course

@@Sfarfels This is why you keep the stretches before very short to only 5 or so seconds. No deep stretches prior .. that can do more harm than good. It's good for taking tension off the antagonist muscles for the movements you are doing more than anything, alowing you to get in better reps with a fuller range of motion. You can just use the weights themselves on the esentric motion to stretch the working muscles under tention, that will do way more for the working muscles than 5 seconds prior, but that's not why we wanna stretch before. You never wanna be lifting at 100% power output really anyway, unless you are training for worlds strongest man competition or something, as the risk of injury is just too high for it to make sense for normal strength training. One rep max's are over rated and are where all these vids of peoples muscles tearing mid lift come from (well that and gear). ~75-85% of max is plenty for strength and ~65-75% of max is fine for size. I swear by stretching after, sure it's not gonna get you jacked, and this is why most people don't like or bother with them, but regulalrly doing them after every workout makes recovery a breeze, and actually gets you more gym time in the long run. As well as stops you from not being able to clasp your hands behind you back, and not being able to tie your shoes whithout kneeling etc. once you start putting on a bunch of muscle and can help you avoid all kinds of back and joint issues.

Hey Sleth. Please dont take this as critique. Its something I myself did wrong while training and nobody ever corrected me and now, my wrists and hands are injured. 2:11 For example, your right hand (Left side from our PoV) is a good example of what im talking about. If you watch from 2:41, you can see that from camera PoV your left hand seems slightly tilted while the right one isnt. Thats essentially the difference im talking about. This could just be the angle. Try to NOT press with the same motion as if you would use your flat hand. Your knuckles should be aligned with your forearm, I dont know if that makes sense? Its tough for me to describe. Imagine doing pushups on your fists. The problem is that, with the first motion you essentially put the weight on your wrist as well, which can cause damage. Stay healthy and keep at it bro.

4:08 Have you tried bending your elbows slightly inward on dumbell press? It isolates the chest better. The dumbell should then touch your bicep at the bottom. 13:07 People tend to go far too heavy on lat raises. There's almost no meaningful range of motion on those reps. Your elbows are bending too much, trying to compensate for your inability to handle the weight. your elbows should be kept at a wider angle and, for maximum stretch, the dumbells should go just above your shoulders. Try 12.5 KG with a wider range of motion. But that doesn't matter when you have insane genetics like yours. Very impressive physique.
