That high crushing CH mini-launch Leroy low is db4 isn't it? d4 is part of a string (d4,4- goes into stance iirc) Anyhoo, another good breakdown. 👍

man i feel bad i didnt get to see this live. watching you explain how this tournament win was super important to you makes this win feel all the more rewarding. i feel like we should get to see more of these important moments in fighting games. where not the struggle against a match up ends but the the sturggle to perform well ends. cant wait to see the shit you pull off in tekken 8 man.

Haven't seen match breakdowns this good anywhere. Incredibly helpful for learning the layers of Tekken for an actual scrub like me. When people have been talking about the "timing", I had no idea how deep it actually went before I found your channel. Can't wait for more Tekken 8 content. Been out of the Tekken scene for a year or two so haven't seen much in terms of tournament matches lately. You beat Arslan Ash right before beating Chikurin? Hot damn. That's an amazing feat. Well done!
@Sadbringer10 ай бұрын
Was watching it live on twitch and nearly jumped out of my pants when you've beaten not one but two world champs back to back! Whatever scrubby or unclean the gameplay was (so as you would call it), not many people can brag about such achievement. Sure you've then proceeded to lose 2 in a row, ending your run, and placed top 8. On the one hand, as a competitor one should consider an achievement winning the whole thing. On the other, hit me with a stick whoever wouldn't call defeating such strong players an achievement! That was an insane run my man and I couldn't be happier for your hard work paying off on the day!

Hey PhiDX you have been an inspiration to me, i'm honoured to follow your journey and I love how you make your content easily accessible to a noob like me and your explanations of concepts are wonderful and have helped me understand the game on a deeper level. You're probably the best Tekken creator I've watched! I recently went through a rough breakup I got cheated on. And watching you succeed in tournaments makes me feel alot better and motivates me ingame as well as in my life. Thank you

I found your channel after i saw your win against Arslan and i recognised you. Thanks man. Also your content especially analysis videos are making me understand layers of tekken which were previously hidden to me. Great content keep it up my man 🤝

You are an inspiration, my guy. Thank you so much for your wonderful analysis and ability to convey even the tiniest of decisions in such a concise way. I've felt horrible at my performance at CB and thought I might as well stop playing Tekken competitively and just keep it a friend-only thing, but you've given me new insight on how I can improve my gameplan and now I hope to hit up more tournaments and enjoy the game on a deeper level. Thank you SO so much, my friend.

I discovered you recently from watching this tournament on brawlpros channel, then yt recommended your stuff. You’re REALLY great man. There are a lot of Tekken content creators now, but only after watching your videos I got a thought like: “damn, if I were to introduce my friends to Tekken and how fun it is, besides Aris I’d recommend this channel 100%” Keep it up, really enjoying your stuff!

Im late to watch this but congratulations man! I watched the match live and didnt know who you were then 😂 😅 now im hooked on your content. Your blessed with natural talent as well as learning everything you need to succeed. I know you train hard not taking that away just had to say. Ive been grinding tekken for 20 years and never could have achieved what you had in the the short time you had with the game(at the time). Much respect. My dreams of competition are gone im old and still grinding all the same 😅 mishmias may have been my downfall lmao. I did win a few tournaments in the tag 1 days but nobody remembers that stuff. "At tournaments, nobody is playing their best". That's the shit I needed to hear. I've fumbled so many top 8 runs at locals that I always doubted if I was really good enough or not, but hearing someone who has beaten some of Tekken's best say this really levels my head a bit.

Man, I want to be good at Bryan. I started Tekken this February. There still a lot of room for improvement. I don't know KBD, Taunt, B3 cancel, Magic 4, QCF34 after the launcher, but at least happy that I can do launchers then combo, that's just it. I joined the Major Rev in my place for the first time, without the experience of online play, or learning other character movesets for reading. It was fun BTW 😅

What is this game "made of?" Tekken = Timing + Spacing + Punishment? Perhaps there is some overlap there. When we are playing, should we be going back and forth between situation analysis and these three components? We can be conscious of only so much, so I think defining what to focus on is helpful.
@PhiDX10 ай бұрын
The top two priorities for the highest level of play: - watch for whiffs to punish - watch your opponent's movement These are the two hardest things and require a lot of active attention. With proper training, the string punishment, block punishment, and timing reads will come more automatically.
