I’d like to see Day-Wilson be an aggressive scorer. She’s reminding me of HVL last season offensively outside of the assists. I like Gilbert playing with the starters because she’s not afraid to take her shot and be aggressive (miss or make)

@wbazile13 сағат бұрын
It wasn't a violation. The ball has to touch the floor as well as the player. Case in point, you see many balls get thrown to the back court, but a whistle will not blow until the ball either goes out of bounds or a player touches it in the back court with their feet on the ground.

Their guards had a bad game but their biggest issue are their bigs usually this season. Wolf is stepping up but that's an issue
@michaelpinell18618 сағат бұрын
The bigs won this game!! The starting posts each had doubles and Samiyah scored 16 points and 11 offensive rebounds. Whoever said rebounding doesn't win games? LSU is fine. They are young and heavily rely on new guards. Post play is starting to come around, which is normal. Jersey has consistently improved and now Smith is gaining more confidence. Morrow is just a DAWG, greatness that don't need her accolades listed because she adding MORE!! This was their first away game, and this team has not had all the pieces together. I can see this team running 9 deep if they all can get/remain healthy. This team is going through growing pains. This season is still young. They are gonna peak at the right time. This team is dangerous. Jada Richard, the freshman, is contributing big. Kim is letting her get her minutes, but it's what Jada does with her minutes. She is quite a steady, confident freshman, only true PG. They are gonna be ok. Stop being so critical. Plenty of ball to be played.
@robynp38937 сағат бұрын
@michaelpinell1861 no doubt Aneesah is a dawg but I've watched every game this season so far and they are in need of a strong big off the bench. Sheppard I believe will be a strong bench player once she's back good from injury. Aaliyah has been rough since coming back. Wolf I like. Samayah is doing OK but against a true big they all need work. Example, who on LSU is going against Lauren Betts? They are slowly growing into it but aside from this game this team is overall guard heavy. This game was not the usual for the guards. There has been no other game where MK didn't contribute. Don't use this one game to analyze the team. I'm in no way being critical of the team just highlighting what needs to be cleaned up in response to this video
@michaelpinell18612 сағат бұрын
@robynp3893 the key to everything you said is they are slowly coming around.

Little as it is really talked about, a prayer Bankshot 3 from Kamilla Cardoso saved a perfect season for SC. That was in the SEC Championships. Then a nothing but Net 3 from Raven Johnson did it again in the NCAA Tournament against a tough Indiana team. But it be a wee bit early to be talking about perfect seasons. Gilbert shot almost got stuck at the Rim. Never would have seen that before to end a game. Of all the teams highly ranked without a loss, I have little doubt LSU will be one of the first to lose a couple of games.

It kills me how y'all are quick to call someone's game garbage, just because they have an off night or two. Several weeks ago, when LSU beat NW State by 60 points, people said LSU's post players were garbage because Morrow had only 5 rebounds and Smith had 6. However, Flau'Jae and Gilbert both had 7. You complained that the guards out-rebounded the post. I stated then, that a lot of those were long rebounds off missed three-pointers. No big deal. People are highly critical of Del Rosario (who's coming off ankle surgery) and Wolfenbarger (who was previously asked to play on the perimeter) saying they are too soft. Now, you want to complain about Mikaylah and the guards, outside Flau'Jae, because they had a horrible game. It happens. Everybody's not gonna be clicking every night. It is what it is. This is not Kim Mulkey's first rodeo. There's a long way to go between now and March. Unless you want to coach the team, just relax. It's not easy finding chemistry among new players. Nor is it easy to win a championship. But things will be fine.

Kailyn played Washington four times in the old PAC 12
Mikaylah averages 16 points a game and had 0. That was remarkable because you'll never see her have a game like that again.

All of MK's shots were short.. She has no lift ..her foot speed and elevation is not where it should be. .I think she gradually gets going.. She's too good not to... If it's a open shot.. I want MK taking it... Followed by Big 4... and Jada. Those are the best shooters on the team

Since Google starting using AI for search research, confirming things like Rules is near next to impossible. But my understanding has always been if the person has contact with the Floor and the Ball, it's a violation. Don't know which people had a clear enough view to even see it that clearly. At the end of the day, a loss here or there basically might change end of the year seeding and really not much else.

How can you be that certain. I didn't have a clear enough look but it sort of looked like her toe touched the ground before she kicked the ball back. I don't recall any REVIEW of the play that froze all the angles, so again, how can you be so certain.

That wasn't a very astute comment, my friend. One team or game has nothing to do with the other. Also, your theory is flawed. Maddy McDaniel, a "freshman", played more minutes at point than Raven Johnson, the starter and two other upper classmen at their positions. Joyce Edwards another freshman and a sophomore Tessa Johnson also had more playing time than three other starters. I don't know what your beef is with Dawn Staley, but you couldn't have possibly thought about what you said before you said it, my friend. †
