Piediepie got famous by screaming, xqc, dr disrespect, ninja, andrew tate, all crypto bros all get popular by screaming and thinking they are the best while chatting nonsense. @@RyderMCG I don't really think its a thing Kira can really change. When it comes to the past, people seem to forget what was popular around that time. Gross Gores personality was one of the popular ones during 2014-2016. With people like Markiplier and Pewdiepie, I was one of those people who saw the appeal of Gross Gore. It's just that he just got progressively unhinged and probably me just growing out of the genre in general

Energetic and engaging doesn't mean good. Car crashes aren't good but everyone wants to film them. Hitler wasn't a good person but he was *captivating* in the literal dictionary definitional sense of the word. You can both be a questionable human being and also garner attention from others. Just because people listen to you speak doesn't mean they 1) agree with you, 2) like you, or 3) support what you're saying. In fact, they CAN'T disagree if they don't know what you're saying in the first place. This concept of being able to listen without automatically being considered a supporter of whatever's being said, is a fundamental core principle of the western world; specifically the US.

This, right here, is what being a literal man-child is. Refusing to grow up, refusing to change, demanding everyone around them take care of them and then taking everything for granted because someone will always save them. Rather than learn there's more to the world, rather than grow up, they just continue to throw temper tantrums like a petulant child. Too many people in society today have not learned the difference between being a responsible adult and a dependent man-child.

100%, Krepo is a creep and the whole situation regarding him is because he was a 'likable' personality. Years ago though, people were most accepting of that kind of behavior as weird as it sounds and even though he lost his job as a caster he even managed to stay within the league esports scene as a analyst. It was treated like a whole joke with him going by the name "Boris" and doing interviews with a stupid fake mustache but then we see recently G2 owner Carlos (who is a dickhead admittedly) takes a picture with Andrew Tate at a party and that is suddenly the worst thing to ever happen - he's blacklisted from the scene, removed from G2 ownership etc. Kind of a unrelated tangent but it goes to show you how powerful and pathetic favortism can be. Hell, it took Gross Gore of all people to start talking about these things first.

There was absolutely nothing to indicate she was underage, and it was clearly a catfish (they were taking photos of the Snapchat logs with a 2nd phone, it was extremely premeditated). I'm not saying he's a good person or that his behavior or the shit hes said or done are okay in any way. He says these things at 20:50 - 'I want to be a somebody, I want to be a KZbin star'. I have mental and physical issues and these make me believe I am a nobody that has not amounted to anything in life. I also would like to make it on KZbin. However, I would never act like him, before or after his meltdown, even if offered 20 million subs with 100% watchtime from each, for the rest of my time on KZbin. I would rather forever feel like a nobody, that gets nowhere, than to treat people the way he has. How people like this get views, or even loyal fans, I will never understand.

I think this is a bit of a "chicken or egg" situation. Yes, he lost all that fame, money, and prestige because he was acting like a douche and he harassed girls, but if you think about it, why did he became famous and successful in the first place? For being a loud, brash, aggressive extrovert. The streaming industry selectively promotes people like him, because their unbridled, impulsive personalities are really popular, but those same personality traits that make them successful are also the ones responsible for getting them into trouble and resulting in getting cancelled. In many ways, it's just like how the producers running reality TV shows purposefully pick the contestants with the most extreme personalities and conflicting values, to guarantee that they would get into conflicts with each other, and chances are, the majority of these people end up as wrecks. However, it's hard to decide if their lives get screwed over because they were on a reality TV show, or they already had screwy lives and personalities, and that's why they ended up in a reality show in the first place.
@wolfsongrising

@@Horvath_Gabor Its an interesting question. I think the two go hand in hand, since they're basically being exploited rather than given the help they might need. Hard to say which it is, but one definitely makes the other worse. Makes it a whole vicious cycle since a majority don't see to be able to pull themselves out of it, but let themselves get swept up instead, repeating it over and over again. And in the end.....well, how do you help someone that doesn't think they need help? There's only so much you can do at that point, unfortunately.
