How accurate are glucose sensors REALLY?

It’s all very well to say this but if you test at 6.0 after fasting, is that 5.4 or 6.6. It depends on which side the 10% error is on, we need to find out if the meter one is using reads high or low. If testing at 6.0 is a high reading, great but if it’s low it’s bad news

Hey Mike If in doubt corroborate the result Merely explaining why there’s discrepancies for some people 90% of the readings and likely more will be bang on But I see a lot of forums confused why they get erroneous results and these are most of the reasons Considering how it used to be to test and treat diabetes, it’s come a long way

But agree if you’re low it can be frustrating not to know the exact result but no test is 100%
